Steelers Fans Are So............bitter

John probably won't tell him anything Jim can't learn from watching game tape. Our Harbaugh is going to be busy focusing on the next game.
That's what I'm figuring. Game film on how we played them would tell our whole story. But I wonder if they would have a lengthy discussion about it anyways.

That's a good point. I wonder how much communication would really take place. Ravens have every interest in the world having San Fran beat the Steelers.
The second I knew we were playing the NFC West I looked at the schedule to see if we would be playing them before or after Pitt. John has already said that he will be in contact with his brother after our match up with San Fran (I think he mentioned it during the preseason), and Jack Harbaugh breaks down our tape every week. I'm 100% positive the entire Harbaugh family will be collaborating on how to beat Pitt.

They are embarrassing themselves and showing themselves to be the spoiled fans they are. My Steelers buddy can't even admit that the Ravens are a better team, and insists that the ref stole the game from them.
My Steeler BF has been whining the same garbage since last night and is STILL doing it.

Well this was to be expected. Bandwagon fans don't know how to take losses.
Couldn't agree more. It's all good when your team is the invincible juggernaut, but when they are just human? Well that is simply unforgivable.

Seriously though, people need to be honest with themselves. The media makes it seem like they know the outcomes of these games and in reality they really haven't a clue. Forecasting the games, trying to dissect wins and losses is all fine and dandy. But is casting blame or credit really productive? Does saying one team is the best and the other team is the worst really predict the outcome of the game before it is played? In the end what matters is what they do and how things unfold. The future is a mystery, the past is history, but we got a gift of a win that we can relish until it is put on the line when we play again.

As far as a third meeting goes, I don't know. It'll be a toss-up like it always is, regardless of where it's played. But, one thing I do know is that if there was any - ANY - lingering doubt about the Steelers being a monkey on our back, this season obliterated it. We aren't going to be scared in January.

Not saying hands-down we'll win. But we won't break.

Some Ravens fans are just as bitter. Sports team from my general area is better than sports team from your general area.

I'm going with A. I can't see you rollin' with anyone who's unreasonable enough to say B or C!
Unfortunately, it was B . I understand, he was pretty heartbroken. He has since retracted and at least was able to mumble, 'Good game,'. Ahhhhh I love being on the other side of it for once.

Yeah...I'm not big on the whole trash talking thing. I mean...I enjoy the heck out of hating your team and all, but in the end, it's just entertainment and has no bearing whatsoever on our own lives.

I can't wish you luck down the stretch or anything...but that was a hell of a game last night, and it deserves more praise than it's gotten. I hope we're all lucky enough to get to see a rematch in the playoffs.
i dont trash talk other teams either but I will defend my own team if I have to, i enjoy the Ravens vs Steelers games a lot, they are the best games of the year and at the same time the most stressful, the most excruciating to watch

I know...me either. I'd never turn down seeing these matchups 3 times a year though!
It really IS the BEST games of the year for both teams. No game winds the fans and the players up more.

That said these games really arent helpful for my blood pressure.

Uhhhhhhhhh, you've been swept before dude....
For a fan base that lives in the past, you really need to brush up on your history.
I was talking about since Harbaugh and Flacco have been on the Ravens since 2008. I do know you swept us in 2006 I am well aware of it...

Give it up..... I think the same outcome will prevail IF the Steelers have any opportunity to play the Ravens again. Not saying Pittsburgh wont make the playoffs but I'm tired of all this... "ohh, the Steelers are ticked off, "ohh, we'll remember everything" "Oh, that 2 point conversion NEVER came up in our discussions" "Oh, the Ravens shouldn't have been throwing the ball late, the Steelers will be mad" ... We don't bow down to the Steelers, especially not this year. So, save the thought of the Ravens being worried about the Steelers.... The Ravens control their own destiny, the Steelers need to focus on theirs and so do you.
Im worried about the Steelers getting in the playoffs now which is something based on their schedule the rest of the way they should have no problem doing...One thing about the Steelers so far this season is they have beaten all the teams on their schedule that they are suppose to beat...

This is the most common thing I have heard from not just Steelers fans but analysts as well. Last night I was watching Gameday Final and Deon Sanders came out and said this something to the effect about how the Ravens are happy and celebrating but in the back of their mind they are saying.. "it's tough to beat a team 3 times....." First off, I hope while the Ravens are happy and celebrating that the Seattle Seahawks are in the back of their mind and are already thinking about Sunday's game against the Seahawks, which is in Seattle, another road game. Second why is it assumed that the Ravens & Steelers will not only face off in the playoffs but that they will even make the playoffs? either team will even make the playoffs?

Quite frankly with how competitive both the North and East are, it's not a guarantee the Ravens or Steelers will make the playoffs if they don't win the North. The Bills could get back to where they were and kick one of us out, the Jets could kick us or the Steelers out, Tom Brady by himself(we all know the Defense won't help him) kicks one of us out of the playoffs and gets the Pats back in it. I just find it funny how everyone is assuming we will play in the Playoffs again completely ignoring that the Bengals have the AFC North lead, and that there is 3 teams in the AFC East who have 5 wins who could knock either or both of us out and the East gets 3 teams in the playoffs.
The Steelers and Ravens schedules are way way easier then all 3 of the Bills,Jets, and Pats. Those 3 teams keep in mind still have to play one another 3 more times each combined so that right there will give them more losses. Plus, the Steelers own the head to head tiebraker over the Pats for playoff positioning and can do the samething this week with Cincy as long as they win there...

Worst part about the game, it very well could be the last time we see Hines Ward lined up across from our defense. As much as the man crawls under my skin sometimes, he is and has been an integral part of this rivalry. Really hate to see him go. I only hope the Steelers fans will feel the same way about Lewis & Reed when they decide to hang it up as well.

i floated over to the steelers board after that win and needlessly to say that many of those cats was salty! they were saying...we got lucky....the better team didn't win....our offense is plain and predictable and how come they couldn't stop it...we can't beat them when it really counts....they were upset that someone threw water on the coach as if we won the SB....we barely beat the Cardinals and lost to the Jaguars. blah, blah, blah! they are having a hard time accepting the fact that the Ravens..... on them 2xs in the regular season.

I want to be fair to Steelers fans. There is no fundamental difference between fans of different fan bases. Some Steelers fans would say that we are the whiniest fans and we complain about the refs, but it's easy to say that when you're on the winning side of things. Every fan base would complain about the refs in the close types of games that the Ravens and Steelers play. Now they know what it felt like the past three seasons. And the fact that the refs wiped out a Ray Rice touchdown on a totally BS holding call pretty much negates any bad calls that went against the Steelers. We had some additional bad ones too.

I already accepted it and moved on from it to tell you the truth... It sucked to see it happen from my point of view but Ive been on the good side more times then not on a lot of great Steelers wins so I know how they feel..Im 33 years old and have been blessed to have seen 2 Super Bowl Championships and 3 Super Bowl appearances in the last 6 seasons a lot of fans dont get that and I dont take that for granted at all...This game is over with now though and it's time for both the Steelers and the Ravens to start getting ready for next week and for the last 7-8 games...

Here's one for everyone. I had a friend that lives in P-burg post a pro-steeler cartoon about the game on my facebook page, just so I could see it. It was one of "Cooking with James Harrison" where he's holding a black bird upsidedown with a note about how it was "Time to stuff the bird". My reply after the game was "Guess he got the wrong bird to stuff and have to eat - crow!"

Needless to say, priceless. :)

Now, let's go out to Seatle, not have a letdown, and put up with the piped in crowd noise. :)

Go Ravens!

Well hopefully there is a 3rd meeting once again come playoff time and Woodley is there this time and the Ravens have all hands on deck as well. The Ravens despite this win last night are still going to have the Steelers breathing right down their necks these last 7 weeks of the season. The Ravens cant afford any hiccups here or the Steelers will be right back in this race they arent going away just yet...

o be quiet,i highly doubt we will see you guys in the playoffs,if we do you wont face us in first round.you will lose again when you do if you do,i dont care what any complainers or steelers fans say, ravens are a elite team,im not looking for steeler fans to give ravens credit,i dont care actually,we won and thats it,i dont care what any says otherwise, including ravens fans complaining about this and that little thing like Flacco missed a miss at this point who cares i dont shut your trap,we won simple as that

When it comes to the Squealers, I say they should stay on their side of the Mason-Dixon and we'll stay on ours. I don't have much good to say about them, and I'm sure they don't about us.

Personally, I've become a huge fan of Harbs' post-game Gatorade bath. You can see JUST how furious they are about that and it has legions of grown men spending hours of their lives dedicated to all sorts of Raven hatred. Mission accomplished

Much love from down in Ravens land, Pittsburgh...

No surprises here. They never give us credit for winning lol. An excuse every single time. They've kept trying to de-emphasize the week 1 loss, and they'll keep trying to do the same to this one. In their heart of hearts they know they are wrong.
They already are, saying that it is no big deal that they got swept since we cannot beat them when it counts, the playoffs. I hope we do see them in the playoffs and beat them again. Of course then they will just say that doesnt matter either because they have 6 rings.

Of course they are bitter--they got beat like they've beat us for so many years in their house in a game they expected to win and ultimately find themselves being swept by the Baltimore Ravens, a team that they did not expect to beat them as badly as they did in week 1, and then again in week 9. They're also bitter because they know what that game meant--putting Baltimore away and hurting our chances at a home playoff game. They almost succeeded.

Don't take anyway away from the Steelers--they are one Hell of a team, and really played us well. We just played better than them when it really mattered and capitalized better than they did.

Now we have to put the Bengals to bed like we did the Steelers.
This says it all. I wouldn't call it bitter, as least as far as my feelings go. It obviously stings. Unlike week 1, Sunday was a winnable game. It was a game the Seelers let get away. Don't get me wrong, the Ravens made the plays, the Steelers didn't. The Ravens are, at this point the better team. But when you are a fan of a team that has won as much as the Steelers have, losing takes some getting used to.
But it wasn't a playoff game. We'll see how it all plays out.
And I did say it in another thread, ya gotta give it to Flacco for two weeks in a row now. But The other Flacco could just as easily show up Sunday.

Steelers let it get away? The Ravens let it get away and the Steelers were in the lead for a short time.... I'd say the Ravens got back what was rightfully ours for most of the game....

You act like the Steelers have never lost before..... it takes "getting used to"? That's a LAME excuse. The Steelers lost the biggest game of the year, last year... They should be used to it.. Right?

Whatever Bro.......but when any team is up by more than a fieldgoal with two minutes to go and opposing team has to drive 92 yards to win, I'd say the team with the lead let it get away. Kind of a no brainer.
It's football.....nothing is "rightfully yours" until the clock reads 0:00

you labled it "yours" by saying the Steelers gave it to the Ravens and the Ravens DIDNT take it, in soo many words. we've already established what (or should I say, WHO?) the "no brainer" is in this situation and it's certainly not me.... Ball So Hard University.

Ive been on here the last few days giving the Ravens and Flacco credit for beating the Steelers and yes so far this season they have proven to be the better team. Glad you have a crystal ball and can guarantee beyond a shadow of a doubt that you will not see the Steelers in the playoffs this year and wont play them. Still a lot of football left and a lot can happen. I dont think the Ravens and their fans this year unlike last year want to see the Steelers in the playoffs in January. If the Steelers are a wildcard team this year which looks like right now is going to be the case anybody that plays them will not be overly thrilled about seeing a team like the Steelers come into their stadium...
