Steelers Fans Are So............bitter

209 posts in this topic

Few of them are actually giving us credit for winning. Most are decrying the refs in some way. A few even went to so as to say they won't complain about the refs for fear of being like raven's fans. Then again, this shouldn't be so unexpected i guess.

The Officials didn't really help either team last night..a lot of call questionable on both sides. My biggest one was the very first play of the game.

They can complain all they want. I really don't care. We left with a W on the road.

In all fairness. If we lost, we would've been complaining about the refs as well. They were pretty atrocious last night. But on both teams.

I've seen very few admit to just a defeat. Some of those Pittsburgh fans act like their team is royalty. I honestly believe that they thought the Steelers had that game in the bag because of what happened in week 1.

Give them time to adjust they are not used to looking up at us after being swept, they are going to be bitter. But hey Ill say this I sincerely hope the vast majority of us dont sound like that after a loss. hey they still get to scream 6 rings though.

From my view the deciding factor was the way Baltimore came out and marched down the field on the first drive (I think that first drive really did set the tone for the rest of the game). Also I dont have the stats but the 3rd down conversions throughout the entire game by Flacco destroyed any chance the Steelers had of taking control of the game. And the final drive, It was a heartbreaker for sure

exactly. I really don't want to hear about blown calls when the ravens got the short end of the stick a couple times.
It's not our fault their team has injuries. It's not our fault that the ravens dominated the time of possession and the steelers d got exhausted and gave up a couple of big plays. No one can blame the refs because in the end, the Ravens made the big play with a pass interference and still caught the ball

Though, they'd be the FIRST bunch on the soap box calling us crybabies... It's the life of an NFL fan, sometimes your the *(PURPLE)Hammer ...sometimes you're the (RUSTY)NAIL.

No surprises here. They never give us credit for winning lol. An excuse every single time. They've kept trying to de-emphasize the week 1 loss, and they'll keep trying to do the same to this one. In their heart of hearts they know they are wrong.

Nah, we don't blame the refs, we blame Joe Flacco.

They are all complaining that they didnt have Lamarr Woodley... well, we didnt have Lee Evans.
If Harrison did not play i do not think this game would have been as close...He made a huge difference for them.

At least we blame our own players instead of being a 45 year old whining in my letter man jacket from the 1970's and mullet, sayin yeah we got six rings and then slap my wife. Their fans truly irritate me in general, I like the ones that are on here minus doctor who, but damn they are not getting any favors done to them by the rest of them in Pittsburgh.

Well this was to be expected. Bandwagon fans don't know how to take losses.

Agreed...They are the biggest PAIN!!!!

I lost it when they were actually booing Brendon for being hurt. Even if he was faking it to slow down the hurry up, you don't boo a player who's down on the field. What if he had some sort of head injury, and didn't wake up this morning? Classless fans with no respect for anyone. I'm sure some of them are smart (Warden, Prophet, ratedr), but most of them are idiots.

I, for one, enjoy the fact that they cry and make excuses. Just makes it that much more satisfying.

I recommend everybody stop by steelersfever.com and read some of the cry threads. Really puts a smile on the face.

Growing up in Maryland there are steeler fans everywhere but now that I live in New York, I hardly notice them. Kinda nice. I have to admit

They are embarrassing themselves and showing themselves to be the spoiled fans they are. My Steelers buddy can't even admit that the Ravens are a better team, and insists that the ref stole the game from them.

You got die hard Steeler fans and then you got fake ones that just hop on the bandwagon just to go against the Ravens. People will never stop hating on the Ravens smh!!!

Complaining about the refs? No WAY Torrey was holding during that first run. Almost lost the game for us, in the end.
Haha, my favorite from last night: Peter King quoting the well-informed Mark Schlereth's twitter account..."I may not be an expert at much, but I am an expert at holding because I did it every play for 12 years. THAT was not a hold!" Classic

Of course they are bitter--they got beat like they've beat us for so many years in their house in a game they expected to win and ultimately find themselves being swept by the Baltimore Ravens, a team that they did not expect to beat them as badly as they did in week 1, and then again in week 9. They're also bitter because they know what that game meant--putting Baltimore away and hurting our chances at a home playoff game. They almost succeeded.

Don't take anyway away from the Steelers--they are one Hell of a team, and really played us well. We just played better than them when it really mattered and capitalized better than they did.

Now we have to put the Bengals to bed like we did the Steelers.

Steelers deserve to lose if they couldn't defend 92 yards for 2 mins and 30 seconds.

I guarantee that 90% of the NFL QB couldn't do that. Flacco just happens to be in that 10%.

What kills me is them crying about the Gatorade bath for Harbs!

The squeeler fans are saying that we over did the win and that it is in poor taste to dunk the coach in week 9. So funny- like we are the only team dunking the coach.

Best shot of the game was Ray Rice celebrating and Polamalu deflating!!

Ratbirds this Ratbirds that. I have never seen so much whining on any NFL teams message board.

I think Ill send a couple cases of pacifiers over to the Moderators there to pass out.

I'm not surprised in the least. My Steeler buddy woke me up with a text this morning that said, 'Questionable catch,'. He was referring to Torrey's game winner. I have no idea what he's talking about. I told him that he was in denial and told him just to man up, say good game and move on but so far he's disappointed me by using excuse after excuse. I want to do an impromptu multiple choice guys. What do you think his final say was on the matter out of three choices?

A. 'Fine, fine it was a good game by the Ravens, but we'll see you in the playoffs,'.
B. 'Well we still have six rings so who cares,'.
C. 'This was the Ravens' second Super Bowl,'.
