Sergio Kindle....what Is Going On?

Yeah it might be that the head injury is taking more time and they're keeping it hush hush, because I think he showed in the preseason he is more capable on special teams than Edgar Jones.

I really don't think it has anything at all to do with the head injury. He played in all 4 PS games. If there was a problem remaining with his head he wouldn't have even practiced in TC, let alone in PS games.

Kruger is playing well and probably bringing him along slowly, the question to me though is where was Jimmy? Gorrer was on the PS and saw immediate game time after being activated but I don't think I saw Jimmy on defense once, maybe a good coverage?

I saw Jimmy on Special Teams. I think he actually made the tackle on their return guy after our first FG. I'd like to see him in game on D, but I think we gotta ease him in. I'm kinda glad he didnt play much last night. That was a good Steelers offense. Big Jen had a lot of time to throw. But I think Kruger and McPhee are at the top of their game right now. It was those two who had the sack on Big Jen in the Red Zone. But Kindle will eventually get his chance. Maybe not this year, but eventually and I think he'll be a star.

We still have control of Kindle for 2 more seasons, so before we cut ties I am pretty sure he will get an opportunity to show what he's got. We wont have to pay him a lot, so just let him develop at a conservative pace and see what he becomes. Remember he is essentially a rookie coming off a very serious injury. It takes some time to get up to speed.

I can't imagine us letting him go this early. Even if he doesn't play that much, he's solid depth. He can only get better.

I'm thinking there is only two explanations

1. He is still have contact complications with his head and as a result the team holds him out of the game.

2. He is truly a 1 skill player at this point and the team can not justify activating him unless necessary (Jets game).

I am interested to find out though...why we felt Chavis Williams was deemed a better option in our biggest game of the year. The team may not have faith in Kindle to do the small things, or avoid penalties. I am unsure, but it is definitely interesting.

The same thing happened when we drafted Kruger. He had to earn his roster spot via special teams and developing into more than just a 3rd down pass rusher.

Same with Sergio, it's pretty much his rookie year and he's just gotta develop

Naw I wouldn't compare those two situations. Because Kruger could never play simply because Mattison couldn't figure out what to do with him or
Where to play him.

With Mattison C.Williams still would be on special teams and no way McPhee sees a snap ( regardless of preseason showcase ).
