Team I'm Worried About: The Bengals

The better news is that it is a win/win situation for us. If the Bengals lose, we take a game up on them. If the Steelers lose, they are yet another game behind us. This naturally comes down to us taking care of business in Seattle. Not to mention that the Bengals have to come to our house the following week and could be a little battle scarred from playing the Steelers.

Very true. Im hoping for a Steelers loss because I would be much more worried about facing the Steelers in the playoffs than the Bengals.

Week 1, I saw Bengals and 49ers on that same week and I laughed saying what a joke.

Now Im nervous as hell! We gotta beat the Bengals and 49ers 4 days apart?! Luckily they are both at home...

6 out of 10 is almost split, not the drubbing you were trying to prove. You mentioned overall record and then were proven wrong. Feel silly?

Frank Gore isnt going to win the 49ers that game lets be real. Pagano is going to take away all Alex Smith's mickey mouse outlets and force him to take shots downfield or allow our defense to shrink down to the LOS.

I'm used to hearing that 6 out of last 10, I hear it everyday in fact. Fact of the matter is, their fans talk a lot of trash for only having 2.....yes 2, winning seasons in the last 21 years. And 0 playoff wins. What's there to talk about really?

Unfortunately, Ray RIce ain't gonna win that game either against the number 1 Rushing Defense. Gonna have to attack them in the air. Pitta and Boldin will have a lot of targets.

I think that the Bengals games are both pretty winnable because, as well as Andy Dalton has been playing, he is still a rookie QB who the Bengals are gonna ask to win for them. The running game is not gonna carry them to victory, so they're gonna have to lean on Andy Dalton's arm. The Ravens' thrive on attacking rookie QBs, and Pags will put pressure in his face all game long. Even when Carson Palmer wasn't particularly good anymore, he was still a calm presence in the pocket who could pick apart a secondary that has been an issue for this team for years. The secondary is better, and Carson Palmer is gone.

I'll want to see how the Bengals look against the Steelers this week before I start getting too confident about that win. For a 6-2 team the Bengals just haven't really gotten a really high quality win yet.

The 49ers will be a difficult opponent. It's one I fully expect to win because we have a better QB and better WRs overall than San Francisco does. Defensively I think that we're far better, but it's statistically pretty close, and both teams have an awesome RB.

...and our offense can move the ball 90+ yards against the second best defense in the NFL

There, that's better.

Eh, the Bengals' fans I'm sure are feeling pretty slighted right now. Technically they are the #1 seed in the AFC (due to tie-breakers) and are getting very little love. The Titans should have won but they fell apart late in the game. I don't see the Bengals holding on vs the two top defenses in the league the next 2 weeks.

I'm just happy that the Steelers have to play them first. Not only do we get to see if the Bengals are for real, but we also get to play them when they are slightly more banged up the week after.

Me as well. bengals sweep the stealers, we sweep the bengals. That should be enough to keep the stealers out of the playoffs.

Wishful thinking I know, but would be great scenario for us.

For the past couPle seasons we have struggled against them and I thought it was interesting when I saw we were playing them week 17. I didn't think dalton and green could come in and replace carson and ocho just like that. I knew aj green was going to be a monster. I am hoping jimmy gets time the next couple weeks and does good enough for the coaches to put him on green against the bengals. That's why we got him, be we knew we were gonna see aj green twice a year for the next 10 years

The combined record of the teams the Bengals have beaten is 15-33 or 16-34 or something like that... they have a lot to prove, and will legitimize their standings with a win over the Steelers. Until they beat a real team, I'm not buying them.
