I hope we get to see it here in College Park, I hate missing games. We've already missed two (but I saw both through other means) so I think we're good for the rest of the season.
I'm with you on that one! I didn't even get to watch the Cardinals game and we weren't even playing at the same time as the Redskins were smh. Hopefully CBS gets their act together and realizes what a good football game really looks like!

I am surprised to see Seattle's defense is so stout against the run. This should be a good test for our o-line and we gotta get Ray and Ricky rollin again.

I'm curious about this comment, why would this surprise you?

I was wondering the same thing, but since the Skins have their game at 1:00 we should be okay. It should be on CBS at 4:00. Later in the week you can check the maps on the506.com to make sure, but I think blackout rules only apply to when both teams are at home. If it is blacked out, there's always Looney's, Barking Dog, Buffalo Wild Wings, Cornerstone, etc. But it shouldn't be.

Yeah we knew websites like that, while I was down there I actually lived with three other guys who were all avid NFL fans. There was me as the Ravens fan, my roommate as a Steelers fan, and in the other room there was a Redskins and Giants fan. Sundays were always interesting to say the least...
I commend you for being able to live with fans of those teams. Yuck. I've only had to contend with Titans and Panthers fans as roommates. The rest of my roommates have been Ravens fans.

The NFL needs some rule modification for the Baltimore/DC area as per television coverage. It's unacceptable that you can live in Maryland (and 30 miles from Baltimore) and not have a Ravens game covered.

Wow, the worst I had to deal with was a Redskin fan and he didn't even watch the games :P

Yeah, luckily enough I got to attend that game. You KNOW they'd be getting better ratings for better games and teams, I turn the TV off when I see Shanahan's face and some sad-sap commentary on the Skins.

Yeah, they usually update the 506 site on Tuesday nights or Wednesdays. There's tons of options, I just like to know if I have to utilize them

That's too bad about the way TV coverage works in that area, is there a boundary established of any kind?

We don't have to worry about that out here. Washington State, Idaho and most of Oregon are pretty much guranteed to show the Seahawk games, sometimes not having another NFL team within 800 miles is an advantage. :)

Just wanted to drop by from Seahawks country and say great win yesterday! Congrats! Like a lot of Seahawk fans, my second favorite team is any team that is playing the Stealers! Nice work.

Hopefully we can get some football talk going this week, if you have any Seahawk questions, fire away. I realize most of you probably don't know much about the Hawks, as we don't get much exposure tucked up here in the Pacific Northwest, and aren't exactly lighting the league on fire in our 2nd year of a massive rebuild.

But fire away if you have any questions.
Just wanted to say welcome. I have two very good friends who are Seahawk fans and you guys are always a class bunch. You also know the Squealers like we know them ;)

You guys have some legit talent on your team, and I pray we don't overlook you. There are some studs on D and I've been impressed with how some of your younger, unknown guys have stepped up, even though no one's expected much from them.

That's kind of the question I have for you. Doug Baldwin has certainly turned some heads--no one even expected him to be in the league a year ago, and he's performed quite well. I see him listed as a third stringer on the depth chart, but I know he's had a few big ballgames. What types of situations do we see him on the field for? I wish I knew more but the Hawks aren't covered on TV too much around here. Thanks and welcome!

This is another trap game right here. Considering how the Steelers walked all over Seattle, how the Dallas-Seahawks game went and especially how the Cleveland-Seattle game went you would think this is a easy win but we always struggle with a 4-3 defense and that is what Seattle runs. Now just like when we played the Chiefs in the playoffs last year, I was worried about Eric Berry, and this game I hope the Ravens study up on Earl Thomas and throw away from him. Hopefully we come out running the ball and try to just run through them with Rice.

Should be a good game regardless and the one true thing that worries me..... whenever we face a team and it's a trap game that is when Cam rears his ugly head, so hopefully Cam is able to call a good game and not screw up.

Baldwin has quickly become a fan favorite here, very popular player.

Expect to see him in 3 wide receiver packages, 3rd downs, and in the slot. He gets rotated in quite a bit.

Your good. It all depends on the Redskins home schedule. Redskins play at 1pm on the road. So all of MD will be getting the Ravens game.

Though I am worried about the game next week. We both have home games at 1 pm. Which usually means only half of MD gets the Ravens game. If one of the games was a road game we'd probably get both.

I don't look at Pete Caroll as a Defensive guy. Plus your record is not very good and the last time I saw your highlights, you got lit up by Dallas I believe. I have little to go on but it is all I got. haha

This is why I am so happy that I have Directv Sunday ticket. If it isn't on the local channel, I can always rely on the Sunday Ticket. I got so tired of messing around with bunny ears a few years back.

Its ridiculous that I live in MD and can drive 25 minutes to get to the stadium , but I can't get every Ravens game on local channels.

God has a sick and twisted sense of humor then because he told me the same thing, but has doomed me to wait at least a decade on the PSL waiting list ;-)

Actually Carroll is a defensive coach, that's always been his rep, he leans towards that side of the ball, and lets his offensive coordinators run the offense.

Our offense may be a mess at the moment, with temp QB's and a brutally young offensive line. But our defense is coming along. Stout rushing D, and some young impressive talent in the defensive back field.

Hopefully one of these days they start getting some support from the offense.

As far as the Dallas game, we held them to field goals in the first half, with some good red zone defense. Unfortunately Romo found Witten in the 3rd Q, and we just couldn't keep up with the scoring after that.

Murray was the first running back to go over 100 yards on us this season.

One day. Was debating to put my name on the waiting list a couple years ago, then last year. But I haven't really felt like paying the money just to sit on the list for who knows how long.

we SHOULD take care of them easily.

oh yeah?

i hope our players don't go into the game disrespecting the Seahawks who are playing at home in a tough stadium for road teams.

Check our record for the week after we beat the Steelers. It isn't pretty. I hope we can break the streak this time, though.

i hope we break it as well

It wont shock me at all if the Ravens struggle in Seattle on Sunday. Ever since the Seahawks got blown out by the Steelers in week 2 they have won a few games including beating the Giants on the road, and have pretty much been in every single game they have played in as well. They played Atlanta tough in Seattle, they played Cincy tough in Seattle, and hung in there against Dallas at Cowboys Stadium this past Sunday. Qwest Field is always a tough place to play at and win and Pete Carroll always seems to have the Seahawks fired up and ready to play, so if the Ravens go up to Seattle thinking they just gotta show up and that will be good enough they could be in for a tougher game then they anticipate...

I read in NFL blackout procedures that the game was supposed to be broadcast within a 75 mile radius of a market but I guess that isn't the case in Redskins Nation where they show a crappy team just because more fair-weathered people supposedly have an interest in them.

It's supposed to be 75 miles but, it's clearly not always the case. That is a big disadvantage, I suppose. I'd imagine there aren't many complaints about not being able to see the Seahawks game, though you guys hardly get any coverage as you stated earlier. Small markets just don't get any attention when we have the Giants, Jets, Patriots, Packers, Cowboys, etc. Hell, the Ravens don't even get the amount of coverage that we should, IMO. So as you said much of us don't know a lot about the Seahawks apart from our history of playing you guys.

I have a question for you... what are your thoughts on Steven Hauschka? I think I can speak for many Ravens fans when I say we were more than pleased to get rid of him when he blew maybe 3 games for us in 2009-2010. I don't think anything was worse than the missed FG to the Vikings after such an incredible comeback.

Welcome, BTW. Feel free to stick around. I've ventured onto the Seahawks.net board and everyone has been really cool there.

We were surprised when we didn't get Olindo Mare back, he'd been solid for us for 3 years. But he got a big contract and moved on.

As far as Hauschka, never heard of him before the signing, but so far he's been solid. 10 out of 12 for the year. Can't complain.

Joe Flacco should have another monster game if he wants to be considered elite, he should help our team blow them out. Expect Joe to be fired up.

Hey everyone, new member, but not new to boards (been reading for about 4 yrs, someone always voices my opinion), and certainly not new to Ravens football. I lived in Baltimore from 1995 - 2003 and had season tickets for every Ravens season since the original. Moving to Cincinnati in 03 hurt but I've learned to live amongst all these crazy Bengal fans.

To put things into perspective,

I am and have always been a believer in Flacco
I agree with people that think getting rid of Cam would help further his development

anyway, just wanted to introduce myself, I'll be coming back to Baltimore for the very important game against the Bengals, unfortunately, I am bringing several roommates who are all Bengal fans. However, we can't get too far ahead of ourselves, this Seattle game is very important, I am very interested to see how we respond coming off a SECOND Steeler win this year.
