Next Up: Baltimore Ravens @ Seattle Seahawks

181 posts in this topic

Once again, the Ravens will be involved in a so-called "trap" game in a very hostile environment next Sunday in Seattle. In order to avoid another let down, the Ravens need to really focus and put this Steelers game behind them. These games are too important from here on out, and I fully expect a dominant performance on both sides of the ball.

I don't think I'm ready yet to start thinking about next week. I'll come back tomorrow

Hahaha, fair enough, but trust me, I'm still gonna enjoy last night's win all week :)

I cant start a new topic but wanted to congradulate the Ravens and Ravens fans on the win. A great game last night, I (all Steeler nation was hurt) but it still adds more memories to a great rivalry

I don't know anything about the Seahawks other than they have Marshawn Lynch and Tavaris Jackson...was he hurt this season?

I think the Seahawks have been feisty this season looking at the scores and they took down the Giants but I really don't see why we can't go out there and whoop up on 'em. They seem to be giving up a lot of points.

I don't see this team sliding after last night either. It is time for them to stop playing around like earlier in the season with all our rookies. We know what we have now and their strengths/weaknesses. Most guys have stepped up and made plays from Dickson/Pitta, Torrey, and LaQuan making some catches. Making very good progress but at this point they are players after last night. We expect them to perform because they can.

I am really liking Kruger with McPhee this season also. Those guys don't get much field time but man do they make a presence. I think they shared the only sack on BigBen last night. I know we don't like to take Ngata off the field but if he has a lingering injury maybe this could be a good time for McPhee to get some gametime reps against the Seahawks.

We absolutely cannot let this be another Titans game. I said a couple of weeks ago that if Ravens follow trend with earlier this season, we'd beat Pitt and then lose in Seattle. We cannot overlook them, even though they aren't a great team. Seattle isn't an easy place to win at. Qwest might be the loudest stadium in the league, with Arrowhead as a close second.

Hoping the Ravens ride high on the momentum from this game and continue to prepare hard! Like everyone is saying, we can not come back and lay an egg like we have against Tennessee and Jacksonville.

We will win this game. All we need to do is execute. Q-west stadium and hawks defense are pretty hard to handle though, thats for damn sure.

The Seahawk's are have a quarterback "situation" going on. Sizzle and Co. will devour their offensive line. Will be there on the 43rd yard line to voice that.

After watching the Seattle - Dallas game, there is no reason why we shouldn't win this game. If we shut down Lynch and make Jackson throw...we will be ok. Qwest field is hard to play at but if we come into Seattle like we did Pitt....no problems.

Why are some people overconfident? Seahawks stadium or whatever it's called is a tough place to play.We will be their Super Bowl so I hope we crush them from jump and not give them confidence.

We gotta go in there with our defense and shut them down early and take that loud crowd out of the game. If we shut them down quick, they won't become a factor later in the game. We can do it as long as we don't ride the euphoric wave this game brought like we did against Tennessee. I don't expect a repeat of Tennessee or Jacksonville.

The reason we are in second place is because of teams like Seattle. The Coaches need to do a better job of preparing the team.

Lets see Seattle has like no quarterback why didn't they resign Hasslebeck. Tavaris isn't the answer what were they thinking.

These 1-6 teams scare me. We always play down to our competition or lack there of. Lets just keep the throttle down every minute of every game. Take no chances like with the Titans and Jags.

Fantastic victory yesterday but this team cannot rest on it's laurels. Now it's up to the coaching staff to get this team "up" for the next game. So many teams lose the week after an emotional victory. The Ravens are a team that can beat the best but lose to the worst. So come on guys let's beat the best and "CRUSH" the worst!

Can't be understated that the team can't afford to drop any more of these "trap games." This needs to be a win. Two trap games is more then enough for a season.

They should go into this game as if Tavaris Jackson is throwing over 300 yds a game, Marshawn Lynch rushing for 80-120 yds a game, and Sidney Rice catch/receving for another 80-100 yds a game.

Be resilient and never let up.

Hopefully with the Steelers in the rear view they can focus on winning the divison. There are still three tough teams to play and hopefully lesson learned on those two losses and will play down to the level of Seattle and Indy.

This is the game we've all been waiting for. The Seahawks are just bad enough to beat us. Too bad they're not like 6-2 with the other teams we can handle.
