This Is Why I Love The Ravens

61 posts in this topic

We are #1 in AFCN again.

We sweep the steelers.

After Ike Taylor, Maurkice Pouncy laughing and celebrating they get whooped.

With only .23 seconds to go on last drive, we kill the steelers. The most epic finish EVER.

(also ty to torrey and flacco for that epic finish!)

No matter what, with all the ups and downs, you see the rewards that Ravens fans get when they stick by the team. Games like this are amazing to witness. Best game I've ever seen

Seriously, I was running around the house. She says, 'Jesus, settle down for a minute there,' and made me sit on the bed

This is the kind of play I love to see from our Ravens, bringing the ball down the field and then just going for it. I was saying when we reached the 26 that this was it, Flacco was going to have to go for a TD on this set of downs, and he came through along with Torrey Smith. What a great way to end the game.

That game was just awesome, and it's possible that we wont even see them for a third time. If Pittsburgh losses to Cinci next week it's almost a wrap.

It was about 4:40am over here but it didn't stop me yelling as loud as I could when Torrey caught the TD. Unbelievably high on adrenaline right now.

I was celebrating loud enough on that TD to Torrey that I'm sure the whole floor could hear me. To those who billed LSU-Alabama as the game of the century I laugh at you. That was the best football game I can remember watching, even better than watching us shred the Giants in the Super Bowl.

The best part of this game was Flacco going "clutch" in the worst situation possible, against the best defense (that he can play).

It really is special, isn't it. To beat then in the last seconds, like Big Ben usually does to us, and at their own field. Sweeee-et!

And the bonus, is that Hines Ward's smile was knocked from his face early. Something many Ravens fans (and some other fans) have wanted. Ray Lewis might get fined for it, but I'm sure he won't mind. :)

Now, let's hope we don't pull a letdown in Seatle next Sunday. Go Ravens!

No better time for Flacco and the offense to show what they can do... against the Steelers... on national television. It was absolutely perfect!

Yeah even better! This game could not have been any tougher on paper, but we got the win!

I thought we were done for so long that I'd already convinced myself it's okay to be 5-3 and make the wildcard. It still hasn't really hit me that we won.

Joe can no longer be ignored. He beat the Cards last week single handedly, and he BEAT THE STEELERS this week on a drive that was ELITE in every way imaginable: the man marched 92 yards, didn't use a timeout if my memory serves me right, overcame multiple drops by his receivers, ran the no-huddle, and showed confidence in the pocket and more importantly in his receivers. I said last week that that was his coming out party, after experiencing this performance, I couldn't be more confident in my observation.

Joe has officially swept a Ben Roethlisberger led team and demoralized an "amazing defense." I simply cannot be more proud of Joe Flacco! To see him smiling in the post game interview was simply the icing on the cake.

Good luck against Cincy next week Squeelers, you're going to need it. As Sizzle said, if you come knocking in January, you'll be coming to BMORE.

To be honest, it should have been by a greater margin. We did have three TDs taken away in the first quarter (two Rice TDs and that PI on Torrey).

I'm just stoked we beat Ben at his house.
It's amazing how the pundits are already using the they didn't have Woodley excuse....

Watch steeler fans will say "Joe cant beat the steelers at home when Woodly plays" lol
[/quote]
LOL they are running out of excuses. I'm sure they'll more likely be saying "Joe can't beat the steelers in the playoffs." Well, we shall see. Because if that does happen, Joe will have his first ever home playoff game. Now we just need to beat Cincy.

When the ravens lose I feel down all week. I don't like to watch any football shows. See any highlights. I basically stay away from ESPN altogather. When the ravens win it puts a real hop in my step for the week.

BAHA When you corner a Steelers fan with logic they always start to mumble about their six rings like a broken record player. And when you confront them about how dominant the Colts were when Pittsburgh couldn't get a .500 season if their life depended on it they say that football stats don't start to count until AFTER the 70 merger.

They are stuck in the past. It's not 2008 or 2010. It's 2011 and they've been swept by the QB they don't respect and the team they say they own. Reality is a real mother.

Regardless of how long youve followed the team, these two wins, and how they were won is the sweetest sweep of all time! Im overwhelmed with joy at this point.
