Wr Pickup For This Week. Megatron Is On Bye For Me

8 posts in this topic

I'm in a Yahoo league. I'm looking into which WR I could play this week. As it stands I have V. Jackson as my other WR. I picked up M. Crabtree (49ers) and M. Manningham (Giants) and have Crabtree slated to start. Although I may start Manningham as I like the match up against NE. I'm in a 12 team league so almost anyone that's good is picked up. However some of the top actuals on Yahoo WRs available are:

Percy Harvin - Min
Early Doucet - Ari
Lance Moore - NO
Torrey Smith - Bal
Michael Jenkins - Min
Doug Baldwin - Sea
Antonio Brown - Pit
E. Decker - Den

Let me know what you think.

I'll probably go though this again when I have to bench J. Graham and pick up a TE on the waiver.

I have no problem with the V-Jax/Crabtree combo. Its not the best by any means but it should get the job done. I'd probably rather have Manningham starting instead of Crabtree if Mario is healthy. The matchup is very, very good. The other guys are just Fodder who will rely on a big play or a TD to salvage their days.

Thanks. That's what I'm thinking too. Although personally I'm not a huge fan of having QBs and WRs that are on the same team on my starting list (I have Eli Manning), I may just go with Manningham.

And thanks for the Forte pick. That's who I have slated as well. I just dunno about Rice @ Pit on Sunday primetime.

I never really fall into the idea of starting two players on the same team is bad. If they both have good matchups (better than your other pieces), that's who plays. NE is 1st in points to opposing Qbs. I wouldn't bench a guy for another just because of the QB/WR combo. You play your best players.

Its a tough choice Rice or Forte. We all know Rice could have a monstrous day but we also know he can put up a stinker if our offense sputters. Forte has put up very consistent numbers with a some outbreaks. And this week he'll have a great run matchup. Plus the Eagles can rush the QB, so the dump-offs will be plentiful as well.

And ofcourse now the disclaimer. Now that I've said all of this. Forte and the Giants pass offense will totally suck.

Because everytime you pump somebody up in fantasy football they end up sucking. Its the curse of giving fantasy football advice. The disclaimer is to ward off negative energy (?).
