Predictions Steelers Vs Ravens

A defensive battle! Our defense will DOMINATE!

Ben gets sacked lots, Joe gets pressured but plays well.

If our Offense is playing like they are capable of, then it's going to go into OT.

21-10 Ravens. Big Ben is sacked 6 times, 2 Int's and 1 fumble caused by the Ravens d. And our boy Reed runs one back for a td. Flacco throws for 1 td and 1 int.

Once upon a time the two baddest and most physical teams in all of football were the Ravens and the Steelers. The matchups were brutal and vicious as each team tried to impose there will relentlessly against each other.

The matchups were normally close and low scoring but in 2011 the Baltimore Raven in a week 1 opening game destroyed the steelers by the largest margin of matchups history. Then in week 9 of the season the Baltimore Ravens______________________________. OmG....... What will fill in that blank

Ugly win for whichever team gets it. Bad referee calls very likely to effect this game. Lots of schoolchildren will be woken by the sounds of their parents screaming at the TV in both Baltimore and Pittsburgh. Collinsworth comes out of the closet on national TV and asks Ben to join him in a civil union. NBC shows scenes of someone putting french fries on a sandwich.

Ben takes him to a public restroom and then claims "nothing happened"

I sure hope so.

Where in that is something bad? Steelers offense is not a bad offense. I just think that we keep stopping them with big defensive plays.

I will come on here and give the Ravens credit for beating the Steelers is what I will do...No matter who wins this game on Sunday neither team is completely going away. The Ravens are still going to have to deal with the Steelers possibly again in January and vice versa.
that is true!

and Flacco can get the job done IF the O-line protects him and gives him time to make his throws like you saw in the 2nd qrtr vs Cardinals. the Ravens ONLY offensive problem is that they play "down" to the talent level of the mediocre teams when they play them and they play "up" to the more elite teams of the league. i want them to play "up" regardless of the opponent that way it takes away all of the b.s. arguments that i have seen in this thread about Flacco not being able to get the job done! maybe Sunday night will be his big cross over by beating the steelers defense time and time again? hmmm....

Ravens have the game in hand 17-13 late in the 4th qtr but do something so stupid and set up Pitt with great field position and Big Ben wins the game with a TD pass to Hines Ward 20-17........

Steelers 24
Ravens 17

Suggs has a great night along with the Defense but Cam's play calling costs the Ravens a chance at the Division and a Bye.

This game is going to be different than the first one. I want to see Pitta and Dickson in the game OFTEN. We just have to spread their defense out and hopefully we put Joe in shotgun and run some no huddle.

As far as the Steelers go, I don't believe the BIG BEN hype at all. Sure their offense has looked great, but against what defense? The Pats, ranked 32? They only played two top 10 defenses. Texans and Jags and they lost to the Texans and narrowly escaped the Jags.

I say it comes down to the end like always and hopefully the refs let them play like in game 1. I see, Ngata/Sizzle having a bid day. I'll give Kruger a sack too.

My prediction is more about fan reaction. If the Ravens pull off anything like the week 1 beatdown , Pit fans will be devastated , and angry. They' ll be screaming at the Pit FO for holding on to too many old men for too long , for not continuously upgrading the team , etc. The focus will be on who needs to go so they can be better next year. Making the playoffs will be secondary , because they'll know the Steelers aren't SB material this year.

If the Ravens lose , there'll be some of that too , but it will come around quickly to a realization that we're even with the Steelers heads-up and we just have to make sure we take the rubber game in the playoffs. Wins in Heinz are always a bonus , and losses there are not nearly as traumatic for Ravens fans ( unless it's a playoff game - ugh ).

Whatever we do, please please please hold them to under 20. Every trip since 2007 except for last year in the reg. season (when Ben was out), we've given up more than 20. That said, I feel good about this one. We can do this.

Pitts O-line is still very weak. They've taken advantage of weak pass-rush teams like NE and Arizona but it should be a different story Sunday night..again. I think we'll make Ben look like a little girl again, albeit with our own offensive problems. 20-17 <Ravens>. Wait.. what?.

Ed Reed comes in at WR at the end of the game, when the Ravens are up 20-7, for no other reason than to catch a pass and stiff arm the hell out of Troy when he goes after him
