SOunds good but don't know why they'd be throwing in the final minute up by 3 :)

They did against new england, but then again, ne's d is pathetic.

Looks like Harrison, Woodley and, possibly Farrior out on Sunday. That's a lot to overcome. Nonetheless, it's the Steelers vs the Ravens. I think it will be a very close game that we'll win.

The Ravens are so different on the road this year. At home the Ravens are unbeatable but away they just don't play well. So I'm going with a season split till proven wrong.
Ravens 13
Steelers 17

With Woodley AND Harrison being "reportedly" out this Sunday, Joes time in the pocket just got potentially better. We know what he can do. Im getting a wee bit excited at this news, not gonna lie.

Prediction: Ed Reed INT that turns into a pick 6. Ray Rice breaks Polomalu's ankles. Joe Flacco gets sacked twice, and our defense shuts them out for a 28-0 win.

The first 0-0 tie game since 1974 (which was when the current NFL format with sudden death overtime was instated). The actual last occurrence was in 1943, Giants vs. Lions, when there was no overtime at all, just 4 quarters of football.

I can't bring myself to make a bold decision, Jags D showed us up. The Steelers D could do the same, so we could be shutdown early again. I think our offense will have to play very well if we want to win this game. We will see what Joe Flacco is made of this weekend.

Whichever QB plays better and makes the fewer mistakes will win. Im still taking Ben Roethlisberger over Joe Flacco with the game on the line anyday of the week. These are the kind of games against the Steelers where we always seem to see Flacco fold or lay an egg late in the 4th quarter or somewhere in the 2nd half. He did it both times last year in December and in the playoff game in January in Pittsburgh and I have no reason to believe that this week will be any different. Flacco is still going to have to prove he can beat the Steelers late in the year because he hasnt done it yet when it matters most...

Ravens return a punt to get 6 points.
Pitta gets the other Ravens touchdown.
Cary Williams has 3 pass interference calls; 2 of which set up Steelers touchdowns.
Cundiff hits 2 field goals.

20-14

The Steelers had a great chance to win it at the end, but they eventually run out of time.
Oh and unfortunately Ray Rice takes a monster hit and lays on the turf for a few seconds. He gets up, but only records 17 yards afterwards.

My predictions are specific.

i'm actually re-watching our week 1 matchup with the steelers right now and i'll do it again 2 more times this week. it's apart of my "steelers-week" ritual. i said that to say this....

one of the major keys to our victory over the steelers in week 1 was the gameplay of our TEs. Dickson and Pitta were nicely incorporated into the gameplan. Cam even called some 2 TE sets that were very effective. of course, the defense played lights out BUT the gameplay of our TEs were amazing that game! we need to dial up a heavy dose of that on the road in Heinz Field.

Well no actually because we beat you the first game at the ketchup field where Flacco orchestrated the winning drive. And seriously, hariball coming in untouched is hardly all on Flacco. O line, O line, O line and botched assignments which they even said after the game. Not to mention the utter ridiculousness of that call at that point in the game in our own end (thank you Cam) since your O was doing nothing. As for the playoff game while Flacco threw an INT, the fumble was not on him nor the botched snap. So no, I don't consider that Flacco "folded" last December in either of those games nor that the playoff debacle was mainly on him either.

The steelers are very hot right now and quite frankly the ravens are very cold. I'm not sure this matchup could come at a worse time, but I just can't see the ravens pulling out a W this week.

I wouldn't say they are very cold. They started to heat up and get out of the Jag funk in the second half on Sunday. Building some steam going into this game.

24 - 12 Steelers

The Ravens offense sputters and fails in the first quarter, we get 1 first down. Our offense is kept to only field goals, but Billy makes 2 at 50+ yards.

The Ravens defense is unable to keep up with Mike Wallace, and even though Reed gets a pick on Ben, Wallace gets a TD on a 40+ yard bomb from BB.

The Steeler's offense accounts for one other TD, the third is a pick-6 from Flacco to Troy, while trying to rally a 4th quarter comeback. Ben is sacked 5 times, hit 12, and hurried 14. Mendenhall and Redman combine for 90 yards.

The Ravens O-line has no problems giving Flacco plenty of time, but once again, the receivers never get separation from physical press man coverage. Joe is sacked once, hit 4 times, and hurried 8. Rice runs for 60-70 yards.

Worthlessberger goes oh-fer on bombs to Wallace , they fizzle in the red zone but get lucky once and end up with 13-16 points. Ravens share a similar fate , but add a defensive TD and finish with 17-20 points and the win. Wild card is a long strike to Torrey that bumps the Ravens total to 24 or 27. The reason it's a wild card is that it requires Joe not to overthrow it , so something has to go wrong in order for it to go right.

I just don't have too good of a feeling about this one unfortunately. Hopefully it turns out I'm wrong, but we never seem to play well on these late night games. Hope we win...but I don't think we will this time. The offense has looked pretty shaky.
I'm calling 23-20...RAVENS ON TOP!!!!!!!!!!!!! When everything says no...I say YES.

I marked this off as one of our losses at the beginning of the season, and nothing's happened (especially offensively) to make me change my mind. Losing in Pittsburgh in a Night game won't be the end of the world and won't be a surprise. However, our Defense always seems to step up against Ben and I think we can disrupt his timing and get him on the ground multiple times... if we can force 2-3 turnovers we'll have a shot, otherwise we'll get embarrassed again on the national stage.

My prediction?..............Sunday's game will balance the scale with a decisive win by the Steelers.

I have to admit that the Ravens got screwed by a couple BS calls lately in Roger Goodell's effort to make the NFL in to the Nice Football League. Imagine what it was like last year watching it all unfold with the Steelers as the whipping boy for Goodell? You can bet Goodell will be watching close to see if anybody is mean to each other

I think you're really underestimating this Ravens team, and especially our Defense... but that's fine, we like that.

I never underestimate the Ravens team, they are a close second to the Steelers with a similar philosophy. However, have you seen their last two games?

I'm none too worried about the last two games... our D has never wavered and our offense is finally starting to figure it out. We get up for big games, which this one is. We'll be ready.
