I voted no, of course.

Hard to imagine another blowout either way this time.

Just looking forward to the usual agonizing, hard fought, stressful, last minute win/loss.

It never seems to matter how many times the Ravens get to Roethlisberger. He has usually come through in the end or the D has forced Flacco into a crucial turnover.

We haven't forced nearly enough turnovers this year. If that trend continues next week, you guys might just get the sweep.

7 turnovers to the Ravens again won't help either, lol.

you're right BnGD. no doubt that this will be a great game! and of course, you know who i got to win it...right?

Steelers week is such a love/hate relationship!

Always gonna pull for my team, but can't say whether I'm 100% or not on who will win. I know that history shows we don't fare well during primetime games, let alone against Pittsburgh...but I just keep telling myself the same thing the Ravens have been saying all season long: that was a different team and we're a new team this year!

Go Ravens!

We have a good shot if Flacco can get out of his slump, and the o-line actually hold up.
So you've already given up?

Lol. I think it's really your team that needs to be worried about the O line. We are gonna give them fits.

If Cam pulls his head out of his you know where and the offense plays like it did in the second half yesterday then we have as good a chance as any of beating them.

Having said that the only good gameplan that Cam has called all year was against the Steelers so maybe he can call another good game. That's probably too optimistic though to be honest.

Joe will play very well if the O-line plays well.

If the O -line plays well we win.

The Steelers only scored 25 against the Pattycakes, who have no pass rush and a pathetic secondary at home yesterday. Hell, they even sacked Roethlisberger five times. It only gets worse Sumday night. They have no chance of winning Sunday. Every team they've placed with a decent pass rush (Ravens, Colts, Texans) have manhandled their OLine. They'll be lucky if Ben throws for 200 yards. He'll be on his back so much, that he'll be rattled like week 1. Max Starks won't be able to save him because Pagano will be sending rushers from all over the place and moving Suggs around. Then there's our interior rushes who they'll have to worry about, like McPhee, Ngata, Arthur Jones etc. They plow through Legirsky and the overrated Pouncey like they did Week 1. Then there will be Reed lurking for Ben's overthrows and it'll be a recipe for disaster. This game will look similar to the Texans and first Ravens-Pitt game.

Most logical Raven fans were extremely happy with week 1, hell who wouldn't be. But to assume the same thing is going to happen after 7 weeks and many changes is short sighted. Also, the 5 sacks that the Pats had was misleading. Two sacks were on the final drive the Steelers had when Ben was not going to throw an incomplete pass. It was pretty much designed to drop back and run out the clock and punt the ball.

But one point you have is the Steelers "new" offense is going to have trouble in the Red Zone. All the speed their receivers has is awesome, thats until they get inside the 10 and that speed is negated by tight defense. Being that Ben is a sandlot player, scoring in the Red Zone inside the 10 is more precision oriented which the Steelers still struggle with.

You make a good point, but my point was simply that our defense just playing lights out, scary good. Pagano will make the burgers fight for every inch, unlike the Pattycakes who were helpless on defense.

I really hope Jimmy Smith gets a lot of snaps. With him we'll have a complete backfield that will help eliminate any short-yard passing game the Steelers hope to establish.

we will NOT see a repeat of week one that is for sure.
I think the steelers learned a huge lesson in week one.

I think this time it will be the slug fest, aggravating, blood pressure raising, fingernail biting too close to ever relax and watch sort of game we all have gotten used to.

It's extremely hard for me to think the Ravens will sweep the Steelers but I like our chances of taking it to them in Pitt. maybe they have a bit of a hangover from beating Brady finally?

It can be done, and I thin k we will beat them. I just wish I didn't have to listen to chris collinsworth on snf lol he definitely hates us. We gotta watch the refs in this game as well.
I have to agree with you, Y2J, as I truly believe the offensive line will hold up, and I also believe that we will be running the ball quite a bit, for I have learned a number of years ago that the more you run the ball, the more you get the opposing defense thinking about stopping the running game, and that in turn opens up the passing game.

So, yes, I believe we will sweep the Steelers this coming week, my friends.

To the Steelers fan that keep saying under Harbaugh with Flacco running the show, we have neva beaten the Steelers in a late into the season, so what? This is a new season, new year and before the Ravens have neva beaten the Steelers with Flacco at QB and Big Ben at QB and you see that's history now. No team has eva been down twice after the 9 inning and come back and win and you see how that went. Point being stuff being said like that doesn't hold too much weight, if any at all. Pats has owned the Steelers, yet, you see what happen this past Sunday and I can go on and on to put what you are saying to shame even more.

I feel that if we cut back on penalties and the refs doesn't make any phantom calls that goes in the Steelers favor, we will win Sunday night. Big Ben better have mastered throwing the what I like to call the " Derrick Mason " route b/c we will take away the deep ball for the most part. We no longer have to send the house to get pressure on Big Ben so I'm not worried about screens and stuff and it makes people like Ed and Ray even more effective ( especially Ed ). Of course nothing is guarenteed and I can point to ways that I feel the Steelers will beat us but I think the trials and tribulations that our O has went through the last 2-3 weeks will really have us clicking when we face y'all.

Steelers fans are always bringing up some useless history fact. "The Ravens haven't beaten the Steelers with Flacco." Then it was "at Heinz field", "with Ben under center", and now it's "late in the season". It's always gonna be something, like "The Raven's haven't beaten the Steelers after playing a road game in the cold during an active sun spot year", and when that fails, "Six rings". They'll bring up any history except recent one: the Ravens TRASHED the Steelers and are in the way of any hopes the Steelers have of winning the division.

Yea, its crazy the stuff people cling on to to try to justify their point. No trend will stay the same, records are meant to be broken, etc.....etc...... I do feel that if we win this game and especially if its in dominating fashion again that the tides has turned between the two teams. We have always been right there with the Steelers even dating back to Joes rookie year and every game has always came down to the wire with the exception of week 1 this season. I just wonder what y'all O-Coordinator has brewing for the pressure we apply without even blitzing and I'm sure Ray, Ed and Co has went through that assesment and they know what the Steelers will do to try to counter the pressure.

I don't doubt for a minute that Ben will be scramblin! The patchwork, bad to begin with, musical chairs, O line for the Steelers have been protecting Ben well. Granted, the competition has not been the likes of the Ravens pass rush but the Ravens still have Flacco.........end of story................history proves it.

Flacco is still an inconsistent QB who ranges between good and horrible with about an equal number of efforts on each side. Ben's inconsistency ranges between elite and poor with far more elite than poor. Advantage Steelers..............and history, new and old, demonstrate that.

That doesn't mean or prove anything. Flacco demonstrated a great outing vs the Steelers in week 1 with Ben playing horrible that game, see how that kills your logic? The QBs have a lot to do with who wins or losses but its just not just on the QBs, other factors play in the quation of who will walk away with the victory like the play of the O-line for instance which will be more important than the QB play come Sunday ( the O-line play dictates the QB play so its fair to say that the play of both teams O-line is the most important factor b/c it determines the faith of the QB play ).

Simply put, the trenches is the most important aspect, more important than the QBs IMO.

we got an exciting come from behind win yesterday BUT let's keep it real!

the steelers have won 4 straight (just beat the Patriots) and their offense plays very smooth, crisp and with a swagger while our Ravens offense has been consistently sluggish, lethargic and very non-productive. now, the Ravens have to go into Heinz field and play a team that has been waiting for some payback after week 1 to "prove" that they are the better team in the AFC North? i believe that this win vs the Cardinals was a huge confidence booster for the Ravens, but the Cardinals are not the steelers! i am hoping that the Ravens get off the bus in pittsburg and ready to play behind enemy lines to bring home a win! i expect a win!

~Mili
True. And the Pats D is definitely NOT our D. Yet, Pitt's offense barely won that game and put up under 30 pts in the process vs one of the worst defenses in the league. I'm really not concerned with their offense. We do have to get to Ben like we did Week 1. No doubt they will throw everything they have at Suggs to try to keep him contained. That means some creative blitz packages utilizing Pollard, Webb, Carr etc. As for our offense, we have to be patient. Yes, take some deep shots here and there but basically if they are going to play man press we have to be content to move the chains and nickel and dime them to death. That is their weakness.

It all depends on the turnover battle. And without Woodley and Harrison creating pressure, then it will be tough for the Steelers to create turnovers. The Steelers defense have struggled creating turnovers this year. The Ravens defense has been causing pressure all year, and had opportunities for turnovers.

Although when I read the thread title, I initially said to myself "hell yeah" but I think Abso-freaking-lutely is about right
