Lamarr Woodley Will Likely Miss Rematch

48 posts in this topic

This is great news. Although it looks like Harrison will be back, Woodley is the better player at this point IMO.

This is definitely good news. Woodley was on fire today against the Pats, and he has been a hot streak the last couple weeks. James Harrison my take advantage of McKinnie a few times, since McKinnie hasnt looked as good as he did Week 1, but I would rather have Harrison than Woodley.

Woodley being out may help but Labeau seems to come up with good schemes against tough opponents. I'm sure they learned alot from the first game. Lets hope the ravens can actually get off to a decent start in this game.

Who was the big guy who went down during the game? I recall it being serious. I don't think it was Woodley, he was already on the sidelines when it happened. I think it was in the 3rd.

It was probably another one of their o-lineman. Suggs and Kruger should have great games on Sunday. Hopefully, in a winning cause.

I'm not joking the Steelers were on defense. I do recall another one of their lineman went down which just made me smile!

They just said that Woodley and Harrison are expected to play ( during mnf halftime ) . Take it for what you will.

A lot of conflicting information coming out from the Steelers' camp right now. NFL.com is reporting Harrison saw the doc today and said it is a no go for Sunday. PFT reporting that Woodley, Harrison and Farrior are all out for Sunday. Guess we won't really know anything until Sunday.

James Harrison's Facebook

Says he visited the doctors and probably wont play this weekend, however, he was cleared for practice.

Says the same thing on his twitter account.

The key to this game is turnovers. if we give the ball away like we have the last couple games we are going to lose. Our defense will hold the steelers under 20 and maybe under 14 but our offense needs to play well no matter who is on defense for Pit and not give away points.

I couldn't agree more. Turnovers have killed us but not just because of the turnover itself. They prevent our offense from getting into a rhythm and generally causes us to lose field position for a full quarter or even a half. I think our defense can hold the Steelers to around 17 points if we don't give them short fields after turnovers.

You make a good point about rhythm as well. Against the Jags we had none and for 30 minutes against the cards we had none. It will be interesting to see how we come out in this game knowing what we know from the second half of the cards game. Will be put Joe in shotgun and use no huddle which worked Sunday or will Cam be Cam and beat his head against the same wall as he has done in the past.

According to what I read, not only could Woodley be out for this game but for "a while." It also says that 5th round rookie Chris Carter and Lawrence Timmons could get the start at OLB on Sunday Night.

Just saw a video on NFL Network wherein Woodley made a cameo appearance. He chopped his feet in the background and comically called Gerry Dulac a, "bad leak," when asked about the possibility of missing time, adding in that Dulac, "doesn't know what he's talking about." Now, it was obvious that Woodley was joking around with the comments, however it does make me wonder if he could actually be available at less than 100% against Baltimore.

I try to get the thought of wishing for a guy to be hurt out of my mind when it creeps in there but with that being said...I hope both him and Harrison don't play this week. If they do, we'll deal with them...no problem.
