Both Taunting penelties were BS as well as the PI on Webb on Reed's pick, but we were able to overcome it today. Last week we could not get on track and the Phantom head to head killed us. I have noticed that it is hard a heck for Ravens recievers to get PI even when they are practically mugged while running thier routes... Any wonder Joe has struggled at times.

Ed Hochuli is pretty terrible, dont get me wrong usually his blown calls benefit us but when it comes to calling the game even they are pretty terrible

Was pretty bad but then again when is it ever good against us. Not trying to sound like a whiner but teams like us and even Pitt get "penalized" because of our smashmouth style and our lack of "finesse". I mean I don't know which call was worse, the ray rice call or that garbage they called on pollard against jacksonvile.smh

My absolute most hated ref is Mike Carey. He reminds me of Tobias from Arrested Development with the way he words and acts out his calls. Just this year I remembering him making the most ridiculously worded play review. I think it was against the Jets. He purposefully worded it so that at first he tricked everyone in the stadium saying something like "It has been determined that the QBs arm was moving forward...*pause*...BUT THE BALL HAD ALREADY COME OUT BEFOREHAND!"

And who can forget this game...

Absolutely! My question is, are the ref's really the problem, or has the constant rule changes, particularly when it comes to "player safety", confused the hell out of the refs?

I'd like to see a head ref do some moves like Leslie Neilson did as a home plate umpire in the movie "Naked Gun!" Every time they make a rediculous call I always remember that scene. This crap just drives me nuts. LOL

The PI call on Webb was the right call, Webb never turn his head towards the ball thus the PI call.
The personal foul on Ray Rice to me was a bad call, I didn't agree with that penalty at all.

Disagree, Ed Hochuli crew is one of the best in the NFL and their grades show it.

This. Living in Steeler country I see every Pitt game. 90% of the time they get all the calls and there are a LOT of holding and PI non-calls for Pitt.

yeah, it has been awful all around the league. Not just the Ravens.

they really need to stop all this ticky tack BS. That call on Webb was one that really stands out in my mind. taunting is a stupid penalty anytime they throw a flag.

Taunting? Really? So that belt thing that Aaron Rodgers does, is that taunting? How about the hulk deal that Clay Mathews does? No different than what Ray did. I would love to see a ref call that. The refs wouldnt make it out of the stadium.

I am sure that may play into it, but if the players get penalties for it than there should be no confusion, I bet if they started gettin fines for crap calls they they would move with more of a purpose.

The pass interference on Webb was beyond atrocious... the non-call on the blow to the head to Joe was inexplicable... the referees are getting worse and worse each week.

That was the one with the obvious shove by White for the game winner right? How do you not see that? That one still irks me to hell.

Sorry, but I don't buy into the conspiracy that the refs "don't like the Ravens". I've seen bad calls against all teams all year. It's laughable to think that some refs have it out for the Ravens and call penalties to assist w/ our team losing. Just don't see.

One of the things I must say about Harbaugh, he has brought some discipline to the team. I remember Billick's last years we received so many "deserved" personal foul penalties that cost us points. However, I don't see that as much under the Harbaugh regime.

Oh crap. The Bengals were awarded with the infamous "Tuck Rule." I have no clue why that rule exists except to justify one of the worst game changing calls in football history. It is justifiably called "The Brady Rule." Could someone find the official NFL rule and post the link.

yepppp, and the phantom penalty on Suggs, and the incomplete pass they called a completion that led to the BS TD at the end. That game was terrible...

The officiating crews in general are just bad...a lot are older and slow...some are just worse then others.
