Refs

They had some very dubious calls today but all I can say is that I'm glad we overcame them. Lets keep our fingers crossed that there isn't a repeat performance like this from them next Sunday!

It really depends on the officiating crew. Triplett and his crew are (imho) the most amatuer group of ofiicials in the league, not to mention they have screwed the Ravens more times than i can remember with bad and phantom penalties.

two horrible called games in a row.. the tauntings werent really tauntings but thats all on us, you do not give the refs an excuse, dont celebrate in their face, do what suggs does and takes a few steps away from the man he just tackles then celebrates... But that PI on webb was BULLL

it was just all around bad officiating, not just against the ravens. but that "taunting" penalty was absolutely horrible and could have been costly

still can't believe some of rhe calls we get
Agreed, but last week , IMO is the worst ive seen in history. How can you be the officiating crew for a Monday night football that is nationally Televised, let alone being an officiating crew for the NFL. I think that crew should be doing pee wee football, if that. I kid you not.

RR never does this, but the cards guy got in his face first. If they were going to call it, it should have been on both of them.

Yea that one reminded me of the Falcons game last yr, when Suggs got called for a facemask grab but he was the one what had his facemask tugged on. Unreal.

The call on Webb was a double hit. They got the yards and it nullified Ed's pick.

It started to look like we were playing carson palmer and the kittys! I hope we don't get that crew again.

The PI call on Webb was ridiculous and felt like the refs were trying to even the game.

It almost cost us the game because the Cards came away with a tying field goal.

It was the biggest phantom call of the season, yet is is Halloween Eve isn't it?

Oh i wonder if the Steelers would have got those taunting penalties at Heinz Field.

The answer is not in our lifetime would that have happened to the blessed Steelers.

Its bad enough to see bad calls, but when a stupid penalty negates a big play, like Ed's pick, then its infuriating...

Actually, I give the refs credit for getting those calls in the endzone correct. This game was a textbook example of why it's okay that Joe only has 8 TD passes in 7 games. Those PIs could have easily gone for two or three TD passes, but we got the ball at the one and scored with Ray. On our defense, the hold on Cary on third down on the next drive was a good call I thought, but the one on Webb was the screw up.

IDK dude, Ron Winter is pretty terrible too. Anybody remember that ATL game last year?...
He gets my vote for the worst referee in the league.

Watching Mike Carey in Pittsburgh

Is he trying to act? Add some drama?

Often the calls are announced in a flamboyant fashion

Well flamboyant is possibly the wrong word but I don't see other refs do what Mike Carey does

It definitely seems like the refs are out to get the Ravens IMO. Last game it was the penalty on Pollard, now it was the stupid taunting and holding calls, and to me a lack of PI calls.

The king of flamboyance(is that a word?) was Red "First dowwwwn" Cashen. I loved that guy!

I am usually one of the last guys to drag the reffs into the mess, but today I feel I must.

It was just this one side judge today. He threw the two taunting flags. ( one of which was simply a fist pump from Ray Rice ) He missed a ton of PI against the Ravens offense, made ones up on the Ravens defense.

All the same guy.

If a call is legit I will gladly admit it. Dont worry about that.

How is taunting a penalty any way ? Sounds kinda kindergarten to me.

If players are getting fined for nothing, the nfl should warn some of these refs about getting fined. Webb's flag was just pure sadness, and when did they start calling taunting? I was watching the patriots vs steelers game and antonio brown clearly taunted about 3 different times, difference was none were called. Refs are just so inconsistent they really alter games.

I dont't buy into "the refs hate us" in the slightest. And here's the funny part. If you read other teams MBs, you'll see exactly the same threads. The Steeler board is always good for a few "the refs hate us" threads. Bad reffing, sure. But not against any particular team
