BALTIMOREFLACCO

Confidence Builder

I think this win gives the Ravens as much confidence as a blowout would. It was definitely ugly to start, but the O was stellar to end it. Absolutely fantastic second half to send us into Pittsburgh! I'm hoping we see a lot of spread and no huddle next week. Your thoughts?

All i got to say is, Thank God for our Defense. And i hope Cam got the Message with no Huddle and the Shotgun buying us time, it bought us atleast .75 second.

Completely agree. The second half would have been a near flawless performance if the refs hadn't given the Cards some very favorable calls.

Some of my individual thoughts:

- Flacco is MUCH better in no huddle when he can call his own plays and run things at his own pace. Cam won't be fired this week but I do feel that this performance was proof that he hurts us on offense.

- Getting Dickson and Pitta involved often works very well and we should definitely look to do it from here on. Especially when our WR contribution is often lacking (Boldin was a monster today though)

- Oher was good today. The O-line struggled early but that was mostly Gurode and McKinnie. I don't recall Oher being beat once and I'm pretty certain he didn't commit a penalty. Well done Mike!

- Flacco took a hell of a lot of heat early on but deserves less criticism after the second half. He led the offense down the field, doing it in a way he felt comfortable - no huddle. We should adapt our offense and do this more often because it works!

- Flacco doesn't show emotion does he? Anyone catch his roar of delight about the win at the end?

I'll get more confidence when I know Cameron's control of the offense has been greatly reduced.

It was putrid when he had his choke-hold on it, when Flacco was left to run a no-huddle, shotgun offense he worked the Cards up and down the field.

A good offensive performance like this in the form of a comeback should be a major confidence booster going into the showdown in Pittsburgh. As long as we run plenty of no huddle and shotgun, we should have an excellent game offensively next week.
