Who's Your Qb? Mine Is Clutch

Didn't we run the hurry-up offense last year in Pittsburgh when we were down with only a few minutes left? It was the regular season game...with Housh catching the game winning TD.

Boy was that exciting! I was estatic! :)

He did his thing in the second half. He's dangerous from what i've seen in the shotgun and hurry up offense. Hopefully he does the same thing next week and shuts down Heinz Field!

I hope he does to,however will Cam let him do it before we are down more than 20 points

My only gripe with the fans that don't back Joe is that when Rice and the run game completely unleash furry against the opponent the reason for winning is because of Rice and the run game, but when we are down like we were this past Sunday and the run game couldn't contribute much because it was time to get down the field and Joe successfully does this he doesn't get his credit for doing so. It isn't just in this game that this has happened either. The regular season Pats game Joe did this, but Clayton dropped the first down catch, the Minnesota game a few years back, but Hauschka missed the game winning FG, the Atlanta game last year, but the D failed the offense in the final 2 min., the Steeler game last year when he threw it to TJ for a TD. This has been something Joe has done over his short career so far but never really gets the credit. He has also had some poor efforts in games as well but it's showing that you can make it happen in that moment that makes these guys special and Joe has done it many more times than we all realize. Give the man a break and let him do his thing. He will never be Brady, Manning, Ben, Brees or any of those guys, he will only be Joe and I like what I see so far in his short career. Keep it going. Beat Pitt!

Hell look at Tom Brady when u get pressure on him yesterday against Pittsburgh. A quarterback is only as good as the oline protection and receivers getting separation.

i think that he doesnt get the credit because he hasnt done it on a consistent basis or when it matters the most. and in all of those games he had to come back because him and the offense had put up no points and needed to make up for how bad they played. it would be different if he came out and won a 49-45 game in which they had to outscore their opponent because the d couldnt stop anyone. but thats not the case. but i dont think anyone has problem saying he played well when he actually played well. we all want him to succeed and be great

He played well in all of those games I listed. He played well this weekend against the Cardinal's. He had his struggles here and there but he played well overall in all of those games. I read most of this entire topic and most all of the negative Flacco posts fail to give him credit when he was due. It's always that his supporters are making excuses but I see nothing but excuses on the negative posts. It becomes the running game and the defense keeps us in the game. Some of that is right because this is a team game and those aspects of the team must succeed in order for this team, and ultimately Joe, to succeed.

The shotgun + no/muddle-huddle worked excellently. Short passes underneath with an occasional shot downfield. The Cardinals had no answer for it.

and neither will the steelers IF we plays fast, quick and crisp like this.

I think this is a poor complaint. How many shootouts have the Ravens been involved in since Joe was here? We don't get into them, we prevent them. He's marched down the field quickly and scored points. This was his 8th come-from behind win in the 4th quarter, I believe? He's got a couple more that should have been wins but other pieces of the team let him down.

And its not just on this board. Joe is consistently underestimated around the league.

I cant believe how many people hate on Joe, he continues to pick this team up, and what a great catch by Torrey Smith

...even the refs couldnt steal this game from us, I was nervous as hell....

Joe Flacco is the man, and all you haters need to understand the team concept, the OL is a big factor in a good QB's play....and his weapons, and the playcalling

Joe is clutch though, he made big throws against the Texans and again today

Slow down Cowboy i mean im not trying to be the bearer of bad news here, but it was the Cardinals at home with a stellar defensive performance. Lets just wait until next week and see what Mr. clutch has.
