Who's Your Qb? Mine Is Clutch

195 posts in this topic

I cant believe how many people hate on Joe, he continues to pick this team up, and what a great catch by Torrey Smith

...even the refs couldnt steal this game from us, I was nervous as hell....

Joe Flacco is the man, and all you haters need to understand the team concept, the OL is a big factor in a good QB's play....and his weapons, and the playcalling

Joe is clutch though, he made big throws against the Texans and again today

flacco was great in the second half. they should have gotten it done earlier but some drops made it difficult.

flacco was that cool at the end. i was so comfortable with him behind the center!!!!

love my ravens.

and: that´s what we wanna see cam!!!! keep it up!!!!

He did his thing in the second half. He's dangerous from what i've seen in the shotgun and hurry up offense. Hopefully he does the same thing next week and shuts down Heinz Field!

i know man, Flacco always does well in the hurry up or shotgun...but Cam never runs it...it doesnt make sense

It seemed like the Ravens were sleeping when the game started, got smacked in the mouth and then woke up and took the game over

...but the Refs tried their best to give it to AZ

I wouldnt go there just yet, but Flaccos stock just rose a few points, Our Defense keeps us in these games and i am so thankful for that.
The O line needs to be fixed, Gurode has issues that need to be fixed. I rewatched the game against the Jags. and Gurode was missing blocks A Lot.

who was calling the plays in the shotgun no huddle offense in the 2nd half? i know against jax it was cam cause you seen joe looking over waiting for the call to come in, but i didnt see that this week, maybe they gave joe a choice of plays on the first play and he ran the offense himself? can someone maybe give a wiser input on this? because the 2nd half was called almsot perfectly, bringing in RR and the TEs into the passing game, opening it up for Boldin who had a great game.. Flacco was almost flawless in the 2nd half, he cant buy a TD pass though lol.. he carried the offense in the 2nd half making great throws

Yeah, I will admit I give him & Cam all the credit in the world for their game plan in the 2nd half and Joe's throwing, but I am still not hopping on his band wagon quite yet.

This team shouldn't have had to rally against the Cardinals at HOME of all places. Especially by 21.

Once again, validation that the problem is Cam. When Flacco is not confident in the offense he's running, you can see it. When he's in the shotgun and calling his own plays, production jumps. Everything is dependent on our o-line, but it's not like what Cam's been doing has worked. Obviously our o-line is the crucial link, but we shouldn't be so inconsistent. Players are not this inconsistent, it's the offense in general.

thats what I been saying, people point the finger at Joe because of the offenses struggles but the OL is the main thing that makes it go, the game is won and lost in the trenches, just as it goes with great DLs...look at ours with Ngata, Cody...and in Detroit with Suh

If we can fix this O line, and get the timing with our receivers down (Looking at you Torrey) then we'll be in business. I mean Joe could have had 400+ if he had hit Smith on a couple of those deep passes.

Yeah the Cards shouldnt have been up on us like that, but we also shouldnt have lost to the Jaguars last week....the Ravens were in some kind of funk, hopefully this is the catalyst that moves them forward

I hope Cam sees how effective they were in the 2nd half and works that a little more

..oh and I realize Joe will always have his haters

...but all he's done is win the most games in the NFL since 2008, he's the all time passer in Ravens history, etc....the list is piling up

His OL needs to get better and then we will really have something

Imagine when Grubbs and if Lee Evans ever get healthy

Agreed. Flacco looked MUCH better when the offense was left to him. Cam and his ways do not suit him and it was so evident today.

Flacco is not the problem its Cam. This game was even more evidence of why he needs the boot.
That hasnt been more obvious than today!! There should be NO more questions of "Cam or Joe". Its clear and has been (to most) for quite a while!

Those are low percentage passes now, but as Flacco develops more chemistry with Torrey he'll start connecting on more of those. I think we'll see another game like the Rams at some point, maybe not three TDs for Torrey but a few deep connections. If we can just give Flacco 3 seconds, we'll have a lot less turnovers. The problems come when rushers are on him in 1-2 seconds, there are not many QBs that can deal with that and produce.

There's just no other explanation for the inconsistency of the offense in general. It's not something that you see as often from other teams. Sometimes they go into lulls, but we do it almost every game. When the players believe, the offense runs well. When they're unsure or not confident in the play calling, it affects the execution.

Do you realize that we played the Cardinals today?
Yeah, the same Cardinals team that now has 4 losses by 3 points or less and didnt lose to the Steelers my much either. Not saying they are the Packers or anything crazy, but they are an NFL football team and they CAN play like one!

Agreed. Hopefully Joe speaks up about this and we go no huddle more often. Cam's hold over the offense suffocates it.

Agree! Who cares who it was? This is the NFL where everyone can beat everyone. We stepped up in the 2nd half big time and won! Flacco played excellent in the 2nd half and led our team to victory. Whine about it if you all want(not you 1/28/01 :)) but its a W.

maybe I'm being an a-hole and completely wrong here but I thought you were one of the foremost Flacco haters on this board?!

NEVERTHELESS, I completely agree. 2nd half Flacco was outstanding

Rough start in the 1st half! But we got through it! Proud of Flacco and the guys! That Flacco and Boldin drive was amazing!

Man get out of here beating your chest, I think we are all happy the Ravens won. Why is it considered hate because someone has a viewpoint opposite of what yours may be. Don't hurt yourself coming down off your high horse.

I lost faith some of my faith in Joe last week, after being one of his staunchest supporters. I regret it now, he brought us back today. All of my blame for the offensive woes shifts to mostly Cam with some room for OL on there, as it should be.
