good cya fair weather fans, your the ones that are complaining after 1 game jesh just go away
I didn't see anywhere where he said he was a fair weather fan. He's going to stop watching the team for superstitious/health concerns. I also didn't see any complaints. Nice grammar by the way

So, you are not watching the games hoping the Ravens will win and will reach the Superbowl.

Just in case: What would you do if the Ravens play in the Superbowl then? If you watch, they lose. If you dont, they win, but you will miss the biggest game of any ravens fan.

Well, if you really feel that strongly about it, we thank you for the gesture -- maybe you can just listen to the game on the radio??

If that is your decison then it's fine by me. But I really think you should watch the game today and see if your theory might be off a bit. I bet it is.

I'm with this.

I was sick as a dog all week after Monday night, still can't believe it, but it is over and done.

Like I've told my sons numerous times; Being a fan means you support your Team through good and bad. If they go 4 and 12 will you be happy? No, of course not. But don't be a "fan in the wind" and abandon your Team for the flavor of the month. Stick with em' and when they win it will taste that much sweeter. After all, if not for the bad, you would never know how "good the good" is!!!

Lifer, I feel your pain man. But don't stop watching, it's not the reason for our crappy coaching and crappy play. Just hope that we right the ship and get rewarded with a run into the post season.

I agree after Monday nite they kinda lost me too,That has to be the worst Ravens performance ever.I wish them luck though.

I have mentioned this before, but when I've watched this team twice - both losses. The superstition of watching vs. not watching has been with my family since before I was born. Therefore, it is my hope that by not watching, not getting on this board, not thinking about the NFL in any way shape or form until February, Flacco will play like he did to finish out last year, the run game will get going, the defense will get better, Lee Evans and Ben Grubbs will return and dominate, and most importantly, the Ravens will win the Superbowl. I'm going to be unable to watch ANY sort of football for the next four years do to medical school commitments, and I was hoping to have one last enjoyable season before diving into the hardest task I will ever complete in my life. Alas, I value Superbowl titles over my personal enjoyment. And let's be honest, every time we lose or someone says something poor about any of our players, I become incredibly angry, to the point of irrational, because I don't want to believe that any of our players are anything but the best at their positions in the league, as crazy as this sounds. So, for my health and the success of the Ravens, there will be no more fandom from me. Whatever superstitions/lucky charms the rest of you fans and your friends have, I suggest you keep them up the whole season. Our team is tough and talented, but they need the fans to be full in force behind them. After what the Saints did in 2006, I really believe that not only can a team rally a city, but the hopes and prayers of a city pulling together can inspire a team to play better. This is Ravenslifer wishing the Ravens success for the last time this season. I believe there is a great chance I will be able to say some things on February 5, 2012. Just execute, and we will succeed.

It pissed me off thinking about all of the non believers watching. I will be honest, I was worried the entire fourth quarter, but I never gave up hope at any point in the game. I was worried about time and fatigue not the offense failing. Only fools think that the offense would fail against the Cardinals(let alone any team, we have a good offense). Man, when Torrey made that catch, I regretted not giving him the credit for being the starter he is. It made it that much more awesome since let's be honest, Torrey had a bad game up to that point.

Honestly, I dislike doubters more than haters. Anyone who believes that Flacco sucks/ can not win, I have no comment. You could make a case that no one should believe in any quarterback. Why Joe has to get picked on is beyond me. It's so stupid.

This will be my last post of the season. Did not watch the game today, went up to D.C. to pick someone up from a marathon. Read postgame stat sheet. Will continue to ignore team until February.

dude...get out of here. You're obviously not a true fan of this team if you're going to not watch us until the playoffs even though we're doing good. Go away.
He's doing it as a superstition, not because he's fed up with the team.

Obviously you did not read the opening thread. I've watched 2 games = 2 loses. I've missed 5 games = 5 wins. I will stick to what's working for the team.

It's understandable dude. I know you said in your OP that you wouldn't have time for football in the future, and that's life. Life in general is more important than football, and you've got your priorities straight.

We are 6 hours behind Eastern Time, so the 1pm games start @7am over here in the islands. I go to church first and come home and watch the game via DVR. You might want to watch the games delayed if your that superstitious

Ok fair enough but I still say watch and enjoy it. Who do we blame for watching the Orioles play? They have been losing for 14 straight seasons.

Then definitely do not watch the Steelers game. We can use all the superstitious help we can get.
