I'm Proud Of The Ravens, You Should Be Too!

I must say that I was mighty upset at the end of the game versus the Steelers. So mad, in fact, that I turned off the T.V. and had to take a little walk. I think that along with the loss, the idiotic 'play by play' (pfft..Christ, but Kornheiser's an idiot) didn't help matters. But on my walk I realized that we're a damn good team, with more hope for the future then we've ever had before. No, we didn't play perfect, and obviously the discipline factor is still somewhat an issue. But guys, it was MNF against the Steelers, with a rookie coach and QB, AND WE TOOK THEM TO OT. We did. Even WITH the penalties, and the fumble, we still took their sorry asses to OT. No one can take away the heart we showed there tonight. We have to be true fans, not fair weather ones like the idiot Steelers fans. Christ, they were booing their own team off the field numerous times. How DARE they call themselves fans?? I think that in the midst of this whole rebuilding phase we've totally overlooked something - we have an offense. Is it stellar? No. And I do believe that Cam and Co. need to figure out how to get the ball to more receivers..because Mason can't go it alone. But we have an offense. When McNair was here, I cringed at every toss he made, long or short. With Joe..I've only cringed at the deep, deep balls that he's thrown, which have been few and far between. But when he's back there, calling audibles, making decisions, and throwing the rock, I just feel good about it. And most of the time, it turns out well for us. Not only that, but our running game seems to be panning out as well..and our front seven have been doing a phenomenal job. And what else is there to be said about our defense? So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that as REAL fans, win or lose, we have to look at every bright side we have and realize that no one can take away the awesomeness that is becoming our Baltimore Ravens!!

Oh, no doubt..heartache abounds. We were in line to win that game..and it hurts! I know! Maybe this will serve as a lesson to the entire team - play with your hearts, but THINK WITH YOUR HEADS! That would've saved everyone a lot of trouble, and we might have been celebrating a great victory. But, alas, that is not to be..at least not THIS time. But we'll have a chance at redemption and we should savor the good stuff that came out of tonight's game, eh?

Maybe next game, they'll rmemeber to leave their emotions, and overconfidence at home, and bring their mental stability into game and allow them to fathom the flow of the competitve games.
I am still proud of the ravens. But after the breakdown that happened, you can't help but have a haertache.
What breakdown? The game went into overtime. Did you seriously expect the Steelers to roll over and play dead in their own house? The Steelers battled back and we faced adversity. There is nothing to be angry about. This team overcame adversity better then any team this franchise has fielded in the past. If there is one thing to be disappointed about its the discipline.

I wouldnt call that a breakdown. The Steelers players get paid to make plays to and thats just what they did. A breakdown would be what this team looked like against the Colts last year.

What's with the talk about money constantly, can't the players just play to win? To bring excitement and joy to the people who support them? I mean sure they play for money, but that shouldn't be the only driving force for the result of a game.

The point is they are professional football players to. They are supposed to go out there and make plays and thats just what they did.

You gotta be happy that we looked FOR REAL! We battled one of the "elite" teams and pounded there faces into the ground. But, well we beat ourselves. Gotta be happy that the future does look good and the past 2 weeks weren't flukes..

Yep, I'm proud of them. I'm upset that they lost, but I'm proud that they kept fighting after the penalty and fumble return for the touchdown. You expect the defense to keep fighting, but this time, the offense did, too. They may not have won the game, but I think they showed us a lot of potential out there. I'm proud of them.

The Ravens played an AMAZING game. We took one of the top 5 teams in the NFL to overtime. There is nothing to be ashamed of if you are a Ravens player or fan this morning.

You have to be proud if your a Ravens fan. Flacco put on a show for the country, and the offense looked more efficient than ive seen it in a while. But in my opinion the defense let us down in this one. Some of those guys need to learn to swallow their pride and avoid pissing contests that lead to game changing penalties. At least we silenced some doubters.

Did anybody want to smack Kornhieser tonight? He always is putting down the Ravens in any possible situation. Ive never heard him so biased on a MNF game. He doesn't have anything intelligent to say, and should be fired

Im proud to be a part of this forum. Way to look on the optimistic side you guys. My motto is Bazooka Joe Will Grow. As the season progresses we can only get better. The fact of the matter is we put a "dominant team" to shame. The only difference between W-L is 3 pts. We'll see them again. Lets keep our heads up and look to week 5.

this team can go along way. I live in Texas now and still sport the purple and black. Thank god for Sunday Ticket. I was hurt and angry that we lost, but proud because I saw something we did not have last year. I am not saying they are but this team could be better than our 13-3 team in 06. only time will tell but it is going to be a fun season. Week 16 I will be in Texas Stadium wearing my Ravens colors. Wanted to make the Houston game too, but with the reschedule that is not going to happen. When we play the Steelers at home please I hate the number of steeler fans that find thier way intoOUR HOUSE. keep them out. If you know of any fair weather fans that might sell thier tickets to steeler fans for top dollar. talk them out of it.

Damn right!! Glad to see the show of support! Our boys did everything possible to win that game, and short of a few oversights, we played awesomely! I'm loving Joe..man am I loving Joe. We have our quarterback, we have an absolutely outstanding player in Le'Ron McLain, and with a few adjustments, we're going to take it to any team that comes our way. I was reading the Steelers message board, and a few of the idiot posters there were talking about how horrible a football team the Ravens were..and to my surprise, Steelers posters were telling him to shut up because they barely won that game. THAT tells me something. That tells me this team is something special!! Woo! I love Baltimore, and I love the Ravens!!
