Offensive Play Issues

Now we all know the Ravens suffered a bad loss, and I'm sure you are all blaming Joe Flacco or Cam
Cameron for last nights loss, and you have every right to be mad. But I just wanna reflect on the mistakes we have made on offense.

OK, I don't know if you all know this, but Cam only gave the ball to our best offensive weapon, 8 times, which really surprised me because the Jags run defense, is one of the worst in the league. Not only that, we also couldn't convert on 3rd down, up until the 3rd quarter, and like I said we only ran the ball 8 times, so we didn't even try to run for a 1st down, which is what we should do if nothing is going well in the air.

I also wanna say something about that flagged hit Pollard laid down. We all know it was a clean hit, heck even the media knows, but c'mon NFL can we play physical football, and not flag football? That was almost as worse as that roughing the passer call on Clay Matthews, clean hit but flagged.

OK so can someone tell me why I haven't seen T.Doss get more reps, I know L.Williams has been a great blocker for us, but we needed to convert a 1st down last night, what I would have done was put Boldin and Doss in the slot and put Smith on the outside for a slant route, keep Dickson or Pitta in to block, shotgun formation with rice as our RB and send him out for a pass. Now that formation should have gave us a 1st down or more easily. And didn't we use a 5 WR set to get our only TD of the night, someone needs to take that IHOP menu from Cam and give him a real playbook. On the bright side at least Chuck isn't calling abnormal plays.

1. Fire Cam Cameron
2. Get TO
3. ???
4. PROFIT

Joking besides the first one and maybe the second.. Tbh the run game was kinda failing early on. I'm sure that set a chain reaction and Cam didn't want to run anymore because he's stupid.

Doss isn't getting reps because he's not a special teamer and he's still a rookie, and having amazing hands playing in college doesn't automatically make you an amazing slot receiver that we need to pass to on every 3rd down

No clue why we're playing Q2

We don't use 5 WR sets cuz we only have 2 good receivers that are not hurt

and Cameron is to incompetent to call for that complicated of a play

Why not? People change, and he hasn't been a cancer for 3 years, and we don't have a #2 vet receiver, and he's still productive

Anquan > TO > Evans > Smith

When Evans gets back we won't have to worry about T.O.

When Evans gets back they have to worry bout Q, Evans, AND TO. Add Smith in there and thats a pretty good receiving core right?

But if we do sign TO, I would be OK with it, it would tell me that at least we're trying to solve some issues. (mind you I don't think WR is an issue with this team)

Haha i didn't even mean to bring TO into this

But back to the topic, lets just call it a bad night, blame it all on Cam, and cross our fingers that Evans and Grubbs will be back soon. Flacco will have more time to throw, getting more seperation, ect. I def think we will see a huge improvement in our O-line with Grubbs back and Guorde not on his back every other snap allowing 4 rushers to get insta-pressure, and Evans will add a 1-2 punch

True that would be a beast WR squad, but I don't think TO will solve our play calling.

You're right, Flacco will have more time with Grubbs back and we should be back to scoring lots of TD's when Evans is healthy again.

If we put Evans on ir then i wouldn't mind signing TO. The reason is we don't have a 3rd wr steping up and getting open plus where is Doss he is a 4th round pick and where playing a undrafted fa over him?(no disrespect to Q2 i like how he plays).

I wouldn't mind singing TO either, if we put Evans on IR. And I don't know what's going on with not playing Doss, he's like another Boldin right? Is there something wrong with having two Boldin's?

Theres 2 things that really grind my gears.

1. The announcer's mentioned "its the raven's offence that has been holding this team back for the better part of the last decade. It's so true, and annoying. Our defence has been top 10 for donkey's days, we don't even need a good offence, just a consistent one. They don't need to put up 35+ points a game. put up at least 20, and keep our D rested on the side lines, and we'd have made at least like 3 or 4 superbowl appearances this decade.

2. We bung this game up the SECOND we're starting to be considered elite, it may take another entire season to make up for that one game. I'm so sick and tired of hearing how mediocre our offence is, and it was just on the verge of getting out of that Stigma, and now this.....I feel sick to my stomach.
