Lowered Expectations

When you lose proven, veteran guys and replace them with rookies and 2nd year guys who dont know the system as well as they should things drop off

When you acquire a deep threat WR and he never sees the field things are going to drop off

The OL which played great in the first game has regressed A LOT!!!!!

Factor in all those things and you have a QB not playing up to his normal level, I'm sure some of you thought he'd break his own records once again this year. I thought immediately when these moves were made that the offensive production was going to take a hit.

I'm not even getting into Cam, other than this better be his last year...I want a OC who can adjust on the fly and works his gameplan around the strength of the players and desn't try to make players fit his schemes

We have 2 nice pass catching TEs who are match up problems that aren't used enough, what happened to Ray Rice..he's out biggest playmaker and its like they forgot about him.

That was a top 8 defense, especially in the secondary.....so it was going to be tough but I thought the Ravens could win it. I was so irrate last night a punch a couple balls. We can not lose to teams we are supposed to beat and except to get home field in the playoffs.....or even make the playoffs period.

This is just one game, after they watch the tape they will be sick to their stomachs and I know coach, he will get them in shape and ready to go next week.

We would have been 7-1 going into the Pittsburgh game....I guess we'll have to settle for 6-2, still not bad but not as good as the Ravens should have been.

If they dont figure out this offense though we could be in for a big disappointment, forget a home playoff game, lets just try to make it in to the playoffs.

im so angry because this is a game you dont lose, you win these easy games so when you do face a legitimate team it balanced itself out

I feel sory for those Cardinals because this team is going to demolish them, I have no doubt

-------- 1 more thing

I cant believe how fickle some of you people are, how did this team become a bad team? THEY aren't....sheesh, Joe needs help man, he's dealing with Cam calling plays, he's throwing one route to a WR who is running another...its crazy

You guys should just leave, you are not ravens fans, they have a word for you, its called a bandwagon fan

The Ravens beat themselves last night on both sides of the ball"execution and penalties" The OL was beaten by smaller quicker D ends and the receivers were smothered and covered most of the game. The Arizona game can be a dangerous game too on sunday with Pittsburgh looming the week after. The two losses on the road are against bad teams and the Seattle trip could end up with the same results. This team must stop playing down to it's competition and as stated there is no excuse for these two losses. A Ravens loss and a Steelers win could make things very difficult for Nov6th and another prime time embarrasment.

first...none of us here can judge anyone elses fanhood for the Ravens. and just because we vent or bash (as some of you cats like to say) the QB or O-line for their piss-poor gameplay doesn't mean that we're not fans! smh!

second...we can't keep using the excuse of lack of OTAs and playing against a "top defense" when Joe and the offense plays poorly. they have weekly practices and we're 7 weeks into the regular season man! it is on them to execute...regardless of the defense that the are facing! lowered expectations? naw! not me! i demand perfection bruh! lol!

You can call people bandwagon or whatever we'll still have the right and exercise that right to criticize aspects of the team when we see fit. Just like you want to defend those same things. To each his own. That said horrible OC/QB performance is why we are 4-2. No adjustments, no fire on the field to lead.....

We have never done good with expectations honestly, in 2000 no one expected us to do anything because we were a young franchise and we won the superbowl and in 03 and 06 our division champion years people expected us to go far because of our defense and we were one and done. Many of you thought we were a lock to win the game but last night was proof that you play the game. We may lose next week as well. I honestly would rather have road playoff games because even though we have only had two home games in our history we have lost both and struggled offensive in each of them. However we are proven road warriors and even though we have hit a road block with Pittsburgh at least we make it further in the playoffs when playing on the road then we ever have at home. I LOVE this team but I am a realistic fan and understand that we won't win every game in fact I knew we would lose to the dolphins back in 07 when they were winless and Its okay to be passionate about your team but you can't honestly tell me that no one was worried about last nights game or that you expect to win all the games. I still feel we will make the playoffs and have a chip on our shoulder all year because of this.

I forget who it was but someone commented on my post about a week ago and saying i was crazy saying that we play bad on prime time and what happened last night? We were not very good like I said we would be. primetime football is the worse thing that could happen to this franchise id rather have sunday games at 1 or 4 then sunday night thursday night or monday night games.

my rule of thought is to always expect 2-3 losses a year to teams you should lose, ie titans and jags already. i expect to lose to the chargers and steelers and maybe one more to Cincy. i still think we have 11+ wins...not too bad to me

4-2 and we've beaten both the Steelers and Jets.

By the way it sounds around here we are doomed for eternity. Still a long season. Some things need to get better for sure. Anythings possible. Don't give up your fandom.

I would love to blame it on our infamous struggles on monday night football, but the offense was far too poor to be that optimistic. Cam's playcalling cost us the game. No first downs the entire first half is an excellent indication of the effect that Cam is having on our offense, and it certainly isnt good.

As a Steeler fan:

Don't go the route of the Eagles and Jets fans believing everything the media says about your football team.....it leads to disappointment.

The ravens are a good team, despite the lack of an elite QB, and will probably play the Steelers in another great game or two this season.

Another thread about flacco. Of course this is not his fault. You remind me of a bears fans that still is rooting for rex grossman as the next elite QB. Everytthing around him was bad except the QB. He had one pass in 2nd,3rd,4th quarter last week. This week he had 1yard gain total in the whole 1st half. Everyone in the whole NFL knows, if you can blitz flacco 24/7 mindlessly (how ever bad pass rushers you have), good things will happen for their defense.

Fantasy score wise, he is on par with chad henne(who is already out),Rex grossman(replaced) tavaris jackson(actually tavaris is doing slightly better), and curtis painter(way better than flacco). I cant believe i would embarssingly compare flacco to jay cutler(jay=105, flacco=72) last week. Lets be honest, Flacco SUCKS.

We all need to stop worring about Pittsburgh all the time..there are two games a year played just as with Clev & Cin. Everything in Raven world seems to revolve around the Steelers. Just a thought.

That game was terrible. I'm frustrated, angry, dissapointed, but its not the end of the world! I think its pathetic how many "fans" react the way they do. It's one thing to acknowledge problems that arise, and its quite another to be calling for benchings, firings, etc.

The Ravens are still one of the elite teams in the NFL. Our defense is second to none, and we have talent on offense. We still have 10 games left so let's not go overboard after a loss.
