That shocked me when Gruden said the OC call the No Huddle plays.... Ive never seen that.... A QB not calling his own plays in NO Huddle.

Do they think Joe cant handle or have Joe showed he cant handle it ?

Is the OC that controlling ?

I just cant believe your team would draft a WR because Joe wanted them to (Doss) but you cant trust your 4 year starting QB to call his own plays in No huddle.

IDK... Your QB have to be able to read defenses to run his own No Huddle

Can Joe do that ?

I'm not downing anyone.. I'm asking you guys... You would know what he can do better then me... I'm just asking
Oh man you have no idea. Our OC is that controlling and beyond. We all know Joe wasn't calling those plays because Cam was yapping into his mic and Joe kept putting his hands up and looking to the sidelines. Cam cost us about 2 mins and made us waste a time out because he wouldn't let Joe call the no-huddle O. He really needs to be gone from here.

So Hensley brings up what we all already know and have been talking about.

Wake-up call: Flacco not calling plays

By Jamison Hensley

If it looked like the Ravens' hurry-up offense was running in slow motion, there's apparently a reason for it -- quarterback Joe Flacco isn't calling his own plays.

As Baltimore was attempting to mount a fourth-quarter comeback at Jacksonville, Flacco repeatedly looked over to the sideline. It appeared as if he was waiting for offensive coordinator Cam Cameron to make the play call.

Flacco was asked if the offense would run faster with the quarterback calling the plays in the two-minute drill.

"I guess there is probably truth to that," Flacco told reporters Wednesday, via The Baltimore Sun. "It's just how quickly can I think on my feet and get the play out there. I guess there is truth to that. It's just a matter of how we want to do it."

Hensley's slant: Not to sound like Terrell Suggs, but it just "baffles" me that Flacco isn't calling his own plays. He has started 54 games in the NFL. There's two explanations for it: either the Ravens don't trust Flacco or Cameron doesn't want to relinquish control. Whatever the reason, the Ravens are wasting precious seconds under the current system.

Pretty sure thats the reason why. Cam is a control freak and needs to be put in his place. And by place I mean off the team after this season.

Another thing I think we need to take into consideration is that the entire game plan and even the adjustments, if any, that were made were not working the entire game. It just seemed like that everything they threw out there was getting trumped by the Jags' defense almost like they knew every play we were about to run including what running holes to fill. Being at the game and watching Joe you could see that he started to call the plays at the line but further into the drive it seemed like he was getting help from the sideline. My point is that nothing was working at this point in the game and Joe was looking for some help from the sideline. It is ridiculous to think that this guy doesn't know our offense well enough to run it on his own, but the way that we were getting handled on that side of the ball, I'm not sure many other QB's would have done much better to be honest. No separation, poor blocking, no run game, and poor play calling along with poor reads by Joe when the opportunity was there.

I don't believe it. Cam was clearly calling the plays. On the plus side, the Ravens (and John) felt the need to stem the tide of fan anger (and more importantly, if I had to guess, ownership anger) that will ultimately cause one Cam Cameron to succumb.

Cam won't succumb. IMO he knows he is a lame duck (i.e., gone after this season) so he might as well go out on his own terms.

You wont get any arguments from me about Cam Cameron, and I will not shed a tear when his plague has left this team, but Joe needs to step up his game in the final minutes, he plays horribly and I can only think of 1 or 2 games where he showed me he can be the guy, one was against Pitt, I forgot the other one and will post when I remember. Aside from that he has got to be the worst QB in the league with under four minutes followed shortly by Matt Schaub.

I would find it hard to lead if you get whacked with a newspaper anytime you try to think for yourself. Joe looks demoralized and knows Cam has no confidence in him. Make Cam sit out next game like he did to Rice and see what Joe and company can come up with.

I'm with all of you guys......if this isn't the most serious indictment of Cam I don't know what is. How will you not let your "franchise" QB call the plays in a no-huddle, two minute style offense? Ridiculous!

If there are any questions as to how the offense functions , read the article from today's interview with Cam, about Joe by the Baltimore Sun.

That's what amazes me with Cameron. The reason that a 2-minute offense often times moves the ball quickly down the field is that it keeps the defense off-balance and pressured. They don't have time to regroup, to figure out fully what is going on. How does he not see the advantage in that. When the idiot in the glasses takes 30 seconds to get the plays going the opposing defense has time to collect themselves.

And more importantly, at what point does Harbaugh drop the rah-rah stuff and jump down his throat about it. What's the point of looking annoyed on the sidelines when it happens when afterwards, you give him the keys to the car again and let him do what he wants?

Just like we've all been saying. Cam calls all of the plays. Flacco can "suggest" plays, but he can't decide on a play and execute it without clearing it with "Big Brother" first.
