The Division Is Still In Our Hands...have Faith

14 posts in this topic

What a tough loss. Lets hope this game provided the wakeup call we needed. I would much rather suffer a loss tonight than in 2 weeks vs Pitt. Have faith. Our D is playing lights out. Grubbs will be back in time for Pitt. We can very easily still take the division and see a home playoff game. Have faith people!! Its Week 7. Still early.

I agree. This was an extremely tough loss. But like you said... it's game 6... We have to have short memories about stuff like this... On to next week. Fix what's broken and get back to playing Ravens football.

You are right it is early. Good teams will adjust and that is what we need to do if we want to remain in striking distance. The next two games are vital.

Good teams will adjust, great teams win the games they're supposed to win. We lost to a Titans team that was just demolished by Houston and we lost to a Jags team who had one of the worst rushing defenses in the league. I didn't like losing to the Titans but I accepted it. What happened last night was inexcusable. Quoting Suggs' tweet from last night, "It's not that we lost, but how we lost!"

^^I can't disagree with you because you are dead on. I'm just praying that we have what it takes to make the needed changes to stop this. Until we can go out and play all 4 quarters hard against teams of every level we're going to remain in this position. What happened last night was inexcusable and they need to do something now, finally.

The only silver lining is that Pitt plays New England, and Tom Brady owns Pittsburgh. After last night, I'm not calling anything a lock, but if we win our next game there's a good chance we go into Pittsburgh with the division lead. However, until someone (i.e. Cam Cameron) recognizes that Ray Rice and the running game will be our primary offensive weapon and that Flacco should mostly run play-action and try not to lose us games, I fear these types of performances will continue to occur throughout the season.

The lost to Titans ( was a different team at the time ). They had Kenny Britt and hasselback was getting him the ball a lot before the injury. Also the defense was ranked 1 after 3 weeks and has fallen since... Houston was in a must win situation. That game snuck up on the ravens but this jags game didn't sneak up ( Jags have played most of their games close ) and we gave it up do to poor in-game adjustments....

It is early but from the ugly display our offense showed us, it is less than encouraging.

Not so sure I think we are superbowl caliber anymore...hell, prob not even playoffs at this rate.

Cinci and Pitt will knock us out real quick playing like that garbage

But you do agree, if we're supposed to be a great team, we beat both of them??

I was actually just going to say the same thing. We had an opportunity to go into Pittsburgh with a comfortable division lead and maybe put them out of the playoffs entirely this year. We blew it.

Once again we have to rely on a pitt loss for the division. That's not the way to win. Pitt will lose to NE but can we beat them? Apparently we suck on the road now.

I'm going to try to have faith, but now we need not only to win against Pitt again, we need to pay attention when we play the Bengals and Browns at the end of the season. I don't want to have another year where Pittsburgh cruises into the playoffs at the top of our division and we're stuck hunting for a wildcard spot.
