Don't jump the gun. I'm pretty sure that's what you said after the Jets game

Prove to me that I said that after the Jets game. This was clearly worse

I woulldn't say that. We could have been shut out completely so it could have gotten a little worse. However, we still have the Bengals to play and they are a better statistical defense and run similar 4-3 cover 2 type schemes that plague the Ravens. The NEED to fix this NOW or they will be looking at, at least 3 more losses.

What I'm thinking as far as Cincy is that we would be hard pressed to beat those guys right now, but our offense would still do marginally better than what we did last night.

I know this is about Torrey, but I am going to mention some other bright sides.

1) Torrey Smith is talented as anything I've seen. I like this kid. He's going to be a star for us. I really like the way he's been catching the ball, running routes, etc. Very good.

2) Maybe this will wake up the Ravens and they will see this and really learn from our mistakes. I don't expect this to happen again. We've been playing light on offense the past couple games, and this loss may just shake them up. I think Harbaugh is going to rip into them. I also believe this is the worst game we will play this year.

3) As bad as we played, we are now ranked as the #1 overall defense!

Well...oh nm it's a bright side thread. Alright. I'll play.

Pollard actually looks pretty good in coverage. BS penalty. That hit was legit. I think he should be the starter.

Yeah I was very impressed with that catch. He had another nice diving grab against the Texans, which he almost caught in the endzone for a TD, but he was just a few inches outside the end zone. He is definitely been a bright spot in this inconsistent offense.

I officially think that I was completely wrong about Torrey. This kid is legit.

Did you see him hang on to the ball on that sideline catch while nearly getting decapitated??

Been talking about the bad all day (probably because there's so much of it) but that catch was brilliant. Everyone was hating on torrey at the beginning of the season and i just kept saying give him time. But he's grown a lot faster then I expected. He still has some consistency issues but man does he have talent. Can't wait to see him in a year or two

Fly, Ive got to give you props for a thread like this especially after our beloved Ravens were humbled in that way and against a 1-5 team ... Although criticism of our offense is appropiate (to a certain degree) , it is much easier to see the issues not as easy to point out the silver lining...

Now that catch was amazing! Plus i believe he got both feet down, I was yelling in the sports bar on South Beach for Harbaugh to challenge that! I thought Laquan looked good too, and I would love to see Doss and Reed , as well as A. Allen in the mix, as these three were playing raven possesed in the preseason!

Lets all try to smile today as there is still alot of hope for tomorrow!

Lets not give up on the team this early in the season, it was not a good game offensively, but you have to give some credit to the panthers defense, they did not make many mistakes. They showed up and played a good game.

What's ironic is the two games that majority of the people on this site said we should win easily, we lost them both. Hopefully, we won't here anymore talk of " guarenteed wins " anymore from anyone on here.

Anyway, Cover 2 regardless of if its man or zone seems to kill our O.Titans, Jags, Bengals, Colts,etc.... are all about the same with rushing their front 4 occassionally bringing a extra man with two safeties back. You would think Cam would adapt and steal a page or two from other O-Coordinators who's pretty successful for the most part against these type of schemes.

I knew you were going to say that and was going yo change my initial post. Didn't mean it literally but more as a ok this is the worst we will see from Flacco. I sure as hell thought so but look at this. Two and half quarters no first downs and another game going 2 quarters without a completion. Seriously, people are suppose to have faith in this. His team mate went out on a limb to defend him (suggs) and this is how he performs. This tihs is terrible.

Torrey Smith has impressed me greatly!!! Love the kid so far!

On another note, I think Birk and Yanda are bright spots on the line. Notice that most of the rushing success we've had this year has come on Yanda's side. The OL has been awful as a whole, but Yanda and Birk have locked it down.

Hey, when you're wrong, you're wrong...this kid isn't asking for respect, he is going out and taking it with his play.

And if he stays on the track that he is on, it wont be long at all before he becomes one of the better WR in the league. Let's just hope that he stays on course!
