Petition To Fire Cam

We're not pinning this. If it's worth posting in, it will stay at the top of its own volition.

And may I ask, why the heck not?? Do you want a Super Bowl? Do you know that this is just a business?? Think about all the commonplace people losing their job every day, barely scraping along even with the job, but when they're fired/layed off, they're told its just a business and go find another job. I'm pretty sure Cam is well off, and he'd easily find a job, if not in the NFL then somewhere else of course.

I'm assuming because this is an official forum for the baltimore ravens. You can get away with doing more things when its not official. All we can do is keep voicing our displeasure with him.

Calm down duders! Let's be honest, this 'petition' is just for fans to vent their frustrations towards Cam and will in no way effect what the front office does or doesn't do with him. This board astonishes me!

Well then why isn't this thread being pinned for?? Sound to me like something might happen if it was. And a might is a whole lot better than no chance.

Because it's calling for a man's job and, after all, this is the official forum. Regardless of his performance, he should be awarded the same respect as a poster here.

Harbaugh isn't going to see a pinned thread and be like ok cam your fired.

Among other reasons, because pinning it would be just plain tacky.

If it's the official message board for the Baltimore Ravens (which it is), fans have a chance of at least one of the higher-ups stumbling across the site and at least seeing the frustration.

It's not being pinned because it doesn't need to be. It's not an imperative thread that the mods need to make sure is seen, it's just a thread where people can say what they feel about Cam (in this case bad stuff). The only threads that get pinned are ones that the mods deem important as of breaking Ravens news, forum changes and stuff like that. Rarely are regular threads started by posters pinned. Don't take it personal, it's just how this board rolls.

Romo, they have to know about the frustration. All they have to do is turn on a Baltimore radio station or t.v. station or read the paper. I'm sure they feel for us, but they have jobs to do and cow-towing to the will of the fans is not how you keep a top flight football team going strong. I'm sure Cam heard nothing but getting yelled at from the moment he stepped off the field and the moment he woke up this morning. I know we can't hear it, but there is no way they weren't taking the entire offensive unit to task today.

I'm sure harbaugh is seeing what we're seeing. He even agreed with Suggs. I'm pretty sure Cam is on the hot seat with him.

I sure hope so. This is the same old story every year. Do something about it instead of saying "we'll get better each and every week". Prove it people!

Seriously Rice, what do you realistically think Harbs is gonna do; come out and publicly flay Cam alive in front of national news outlets? That's not realistic at all, a (good) head coach is always gonna back up his guys one hundred percent in public no matter what his plans for said guys are behind the scenes.
No one expects him to do that but he threw Joe under the bus for Cam. He actually acted like no one saw Cam yapping into his mic and Joe looking at the sidelines in frustration because the play wasn't in yet during that so-called hurry up. He tried to imply that Joe was calling those plays. Yeah right Harbaugh. Because none of us watched the game.

And, he is the sole reason Cam is still here. Steve made that clear in the end of season presser. "John and I have had meetings for 3 days and he feels we should stay with Cam under fire". He keeps on sticking up for this joke of an OC with the owner.

I've wanted Cam fired for a long time. Better bring someone in who knows a little about football though, but then you'll have another coordinator who knows more than the coach. Harbaugh is clueless. If John knew what he was doing Cam wouldn't be here now. Obviously he can't get more involved with the offense it would just get worse if that's possible. Harbaugh is stuck as are the Ravens.

Board of Director Material does not translate to Offensive Coordinator. Think about it. Would you consider if you were hiring and Offensive Coordinator an Ozzie Newsome type for the job? Do you want a Pensive personality, one the rationalizes all choices, Takes time in making decisions and cannot make a quick decision, has a controlling personality, Or is the Offensive Coordinator a person with strong intincts about the talents in players, strong and decisive decision making ability on the run, works well under pressure with spontaneous decison skills, Not controlling but accpeting of many ideas in fluid situations, relase the contorl to the person on the feild,,....?
The overall problem Cam is not and Offensive Coordinator talent. Mondays game saw players not able to get on/ off the field quickly, play calling delayed, poor play calling, Is Joe still Cams Puppet because Cam just cannot release control? An unchangeable game plan until too late, Where is the overall team plan for offense-Run or Pass from game to game?,.... Cam needs to go.

John Harbaugh needs to accept he is worthy of an "F" in the area of Head Coaching skills. Identifying the talents of his assistants is key. He has a long memory to Cam being the first to hire him. This is not a criterion for keeping Cam on. If this continues for Ravens will not be in the playoffs. Already they are not going to have the home field advantage in the playoffs. They are showing they are not a good road team with the coaching they have demonstrated. Another loss and they will be challenged for the Division leader. They have 2 games with Cincinnati who I believe will beat them twice. Then Pittsburgh???. This would kick them out of playoffs. John needs to make a change now and take on the Offensive Coord work with the help of one of the other assistance on offense. Yes it is time to panic for the offense and not continue to leave Joe out there to shoulder the blame. He is not to blame. He is the one in the light but only the symptom. Cure the illness fire Cam.

John is a great HC and I have faith in him. As much as I want Cam gone we need to finish out the season with him an move on. I wished we had durning the lockout but we decided to link his fate with John. I feel real bad for Harbs because Cam is not only sinking his ship but Harbs as well.

This is why Cam wanted Zorn gone. Not because he thought having too many voices in Joe's ear was a bad thing. He wanted Zorn gone because he was the one guy (except for Al Saunders who left on his own) who could take over as OC if Cam was fired mid-season. With Zorn gone we have nobody on the staff right now that can replace him. We are stuck with Cam until the off-season.

Cam , is still Flacco's boss, and as such there is only so much he will be allowed to do. Cam is slow sending in the plays to prevent any possibility of audibles. That is all to easy to see , even at the cost of losing a game. Cam doesn't care, he is going to get his paycheck and the truth is that is all it is about.

You know that is a good point. Is Cam sending plays in slow so Flacco can't audible. We know he is a control freak.

Cut him loose. He's a big part of the problem. No in game adjustments, no true no huddle, refuses to release the offense to Joe and Co., no innovation. He needs to be gone. Fire him!

We need to have a losing record before the offensive coordinator can be replaced. I think, if the trend continues with us going back to post Harbaugh season and back to 500 or less then the coordinator is gone...

I hate to have losing record to fire someone like Cam, but it's business thing that if the result is bad, you will get fire and if the result is good although u'r doing craps along the way, you are indispensible......
