This Loss Stings But...

At least it wasnt a shutout. My worst fear came true...trap game. I hope losing very winnable games doesnt become a trend because other than Pitt, Cin, and SD our schedule "looks" favorable. Someone please turn the light on for our offense before Sunday because if they do, I feel sorry for the Cards haha! Go Ravens!

We are allowed one "trap game" a year and we used that up in Tennessee. I thought that game was bad. The only reason I'm not really upset right now is because we were so bad it was laughable.

Yeah, but seriously, I'm tired of going down that path. I don't mean to vent, but how many times are we going to say that this season? "We walked into a trap, we walked into something we weren't ready for, we won't let it happen again and I feel sorry for the team we play next week." After the TEN game it was fine, but this was just ___. For a team that I strongly feel needs to win this division to have a good shot at a title game, we haven't even played the Bengals yet. If we have success, like 3-1 or 4-0 against the Steelers and Bengals, then we'll be good to go. But 2-2 doesn't sound good enough.

That said, the defense did really well tonight and didn't seem at confused, maybe a little tired in the fourth quarter. I, like everyone else, am worried sick about the offense.

Before tonight I thought we had a team with a chance to go all the way... They have successfully corrected my misconception tonight.

I know I know. I found my self chuckling instead of throwing and smashing stuff.

I actually did, too. I mean a few times I was yelling obscenities, but for the most part I just laughed at how awful this game turned out to be.

Tennessee was the trap game. You're not supposed to have repeats as the season matures. The trap is no longer a trap. It's now a certified loss. Especially the Ratchet performance that was given tonight.....this was no trap my friends.

We just have to look ahead and we NEED to get this offense in check against the Cardinals. We say it every week, but we need 30 plus points and Flacco needs to get in sync for 3-4 games at a time and be consistent. The next 3 or 4 games will show us a little glimpse of who the Ravens are.

Week 8- Cards
Week 9 - Steelers
Week 10 - Seahawks
Week 11 - Bengals

I'm anxious to see how we handle the teams we SHOULD beat and how we play against the teams that we would normally struggle with like the Bengals defense. I'm hoping we can get this offense in sync in the next 3 games, maybe get Evans back, that oline needs to give Joe more protection and we'll be ready for our first divisional game against Bengals. I'm hoping we can handle the Steelers too. I HOPE HOPE HOPE we can sweep them. We need to.

I am afraid we already saw who the Ravens are Monday night. Why should we believe that another game is needed to show us anything? How many trap games do we get? By some fans standards the Rams have had 6 trap games so far this year. Is that it? Every game we lose is a trap?

Gave up on Rice too soon. Ray Rice is the Ravens offense.
He is...I did not see the usual play where the ball is snapped then Joe quickly throws to rice at the sideline and he runs. That play always seems to work for us.

I think the Ravens should be forced to watch this & the Titans game every day this season to ingrain in their minds how badly they played so they can become frustrated and angry. Maybe then the offense will play with more energy.

the fact is that this "trash" offense is letting our defense down (on the regular) tremendously!

I put my money on that the Ravens "will" bounce back. But in all seriousness, I don't think I've "ever" seen the Ravens play as bad as they did last night. There was absolutely no fire, focus or motivation (at least on the offensive side of the ball) and that goes form the OC on down. It was almost like there was no study or practice (by the Ravens) at all for that game.

yeah, it frustrated the hell out of me how it looked like the only guys that had any fire or sense of urgency on the offense was Torrey and Pitta. Everyone else looked like a bunch of zombies out there.

You are completely right. The offense looked like they weren't told it was gameday until 10 mins before kickoff. The Jags defense showed how badly they wanted it and our offense had no answers.

This Loss Stings............ but the sad truth is we'll go out against Arizona at M & T Bank and probably beat the Cardinals with a bunch of offense, similar to what we did to the Rams after losing to the Titans.

I have to laugh at many of the comments here and the game last night. It was beyond pathetic. If this team can't find a way to get the receivers open, then their not professional. The qb was off badly, the whole offense sucked. This team has no consistency on the offensive side. Ah who cares. If they play like this the rest of the season, they may make the playoffs, but going anywhere is a joke. I dont know the answer and really dont care. I wont get upset at a team that is good one day, bad the next. On monday night football they looked really bad. If someone at the facility is not reaming out the offense then nothing is going to change. Just that simple. I watched a lousy game last night, and think the ravens will loose to ptit when they play them next. and probably loose to new england too. Their not a superbowl team. thinking Flacco is going to call his own plays is a joke too. And if this is the result of harbaugh, cameron calling plays together, someone needs to drop out. Onside kick was a joke too, short and not realistic. Flacco's final interception was stupid of him too. Just a good way to end a dsmal performance. This is a mediocre team, at best. No matter what harbaugh says.

I feel sorry for the Cardinals offense, but their defense must be licking their chops. They saw exactly what everyone else saw monday night. The Jags game was a perfect blueprint on how to beat the ravens, run the ball stubbornly, abuse ray rice, and everything else will take care of itself.

This loss more than stings with me, and I can't wait to hear what harbs says in his next presser.
I'm sure it will be a bunch of puke about how the Jags are a great team and we will bounce back next week, we're focusing on the Cards, blah blah blah.

Very true...That was a "Trent Dilfer" type of game...but they won those type of games.
