[MERGED] Questionable Officiating (Wk 7 @ JAX)

65 posts in this topic

Call it sour grapes if you want, the differnce in our MNF catastrophe was the ridiculous 15 yard penalty on Pollard for "leading with his helmet" on 3rd down. Obviously our offense was terrible and we deserved a loss, but without this bad call (among others) we still should have won.

Lets get one thing straight: The Ravens SUCKED tonight.

BUT, there were several BS that cost the Ravens. There was the horrible horrible horrible call on Pollard which cost the Ravens 3 points.

Then what the f was that on the kickoff.

The NFL needs to get their stuff together.

It was terrible. Ayanbadejo was hit first and he gets ejected for defending himself. Pollard delivers a beautiful shoulder to chest hit an gets flagged. Torrey takes a nasty head shot and gets nothing. Jaguar sperm must be delicious.

Oh right. Forgot about that one. The refs will just wait for you to get that last guy off the field.

I think it was over officiated. Way to many yellow flags tossed around. I did not care if the two teams started brawling, just break it up and let the game continue.

there were quite a few questionable and b.s. calls by the refs...BUT....

when you take care of your business and put points on the board and distance yourself from your opponent in the score...the refs are a non-factor. bottomline....the Ravens offense was trash tonight. no way around that! and we are starting to see this nearly every weekend and week out with them.

This had to be the Worst officiating i have ever seen in the history of the Nfl. First they honestly didn't have a clue what they were doing and looked like that didn't even know who the Head official was on the First Flag. And everytime the Jags had to convert a First down, on Third. There always a Flag on a B.S call. I honestly believe these Officials were Hired by Vegas. Because everyone single person picked the Ravens to Win. Guess the Jags had to meet their Point spread.

And it prevented a delay of game penalty.

I mean, the first three challengres were then overturned, that just goes to show you how bad the officials were. There were many bad calls, the Pollard play really stands out because it led to 3 points that should never have happened and completely changed the game.

They helped us too. That Smith reception that set up our TD clearly was not a catch. Without that blown call we may not have scored at all.

did the officials not block anyone? did the officials play absolutely horribly overall? did the officials not get a first down in two and a half quarters? those calls should not even have mattered because we should have crushed them. ayanbadejo punched someone in the face, thats grounds for and ejection. they always get the second guy. this is such a stupid thread. just an excuse for the real reason we lost this game. the offense, and flacco, sucks

Actually that pretty clearly was a catch.

yeah to prevent their delay of game and let them get straight for the kickoff. secondly, mathis was raping torrey smith all damn night. its like any PI call that wasn't blatant, they were turning a blind eye to. also that hit from pollard was shoulder to chest. we got the shaft hard. seems like the refs are still helping Pittsburgh rise to the top.

Don't think you can blame the refs at all for this one. The officiating is irrelevant. They gave Torrey that catch on the 10 that he was out of bounds for... it goes both ways.

The officials are not the ones to be upset at.

I'd like to know what game you were watching. He only had one foot in. The announcers were all over it but the Jags were out of challenges.

It was bad officiating, but the problem still remains that our offense is so inconsistent and cannot come alive when it matters.

I agree with this....If you put 21pts on the board, u'll win already cuz our defense play lights out.....

we also didnt have a single first down until late in the 3rd. im so tired of us playing to the level of our opponents and letting them beat us. Flacco just cannot beat the Tampa 2 coverage. His consistency is horrid and I dont think he deserves a Franchise QB contract

His knee/leg came in bounds. That's all you need for a completion. The point is the officials sucked. We didn't play well at all, but we still should have won without BS calls from the terrible refs

The announcers said that he got both feet in.

It doesn't matter, but he clearly had both feet in with possession. Go find a highlight.

While this was the worst officiated game I have ever seen, the bad calls went both ways.
Also, you are supposed to play great so you don't leave the game in the ref's hand, we deserved to lose.

I'm sure we all remember this. Gabbert passes it on 3rd down and something, receiver catches it, and Pollard lays down a beautiful legal tackle which got flaged for a helmet to helmet hit, which gave them a free 15 yards they wouldn't have converted on and a new set of downs. Even the refs were scratchin there heads. Was this a game changing flag by the ref? Yes. This is probably one of the worsts one-sided officiating i've ever seen.

The officiating was HORRIBLE all game long.

That said, not the reason we lost. We deserved to lose that game. The entire offensive side of the ball played terrible, just awful.

3 and out is the most to be angry right now; not the officiating......

This. Uninspired football.
