Espn's Tom Jackson Call Ray Lewis Goat

Anyone who's watching Monday Night Countdown just saw Tom Jackson say he feels Ray is the best MLB to EVER play the game. It's been said on the boards here, but to here it from an ESPN analyst of all people shows just how great Ray Lewis really is. It's a blessing to watch Ray play football, soak it all in when you watch Ray play, never take him for granted. because one day he'll be gone.

Kinda hard to deny. I have a ton of friends that are Steeler fans that will unargueably call Reed and Lewis the GOAT.

I have said this for a while. Ever since I began watching him play when I started playing in grade 7, I learned how to play from watching him. Now that his career is coming to a close, people are realizing just how special he is. I remember back in the day, people were saying Urlacher was just as good if not better.

well said....and sadly true!

i am glad that i got to see him play LIVE and in person a few games there at M&T before he hangs'em up! simply the greatest MLB to ever play the game!

I'm telling you, people are never appreciated until after they're gone. We revere names like Jack Lambert, Joe Green, Mike Singletary, etc. because most of us never really saw them play, they're semi-legendary figures to us. Give it 20 years, and when people realize that nobody's coming close to what Ray has accomplished (or will ever again), he'll get the respect he deserves from even the causal fans.
