I'm moving in that direction. The year they instituted the "day of game fee" I stopped going to games. I have the O's road jersey (the one that says Baltimore across the front) and I just want to cover the O's logos with something to indicate my disgust with the team's front office. I should probably do the same on my O's hats as well.

I think fans on opening day should all wear paper bags on their heads. Get the Yard sold out and show our frustration the only way we really can.
If we were to get that started I would pay for and distribute them outside of stadium lol.
And then after that everyone stops going. It will never work though, to many loyal fans like my self. I'll probably watch a few months of it even though I dont want to.

because with 2 pitchers at 8 mil, you get double the chance of SUCKcess.... LOL. Hammel and Lindstrom are decent pitchers, I personally think it was a fair deal.

If Markakis wasn't Greek, Angelos would have already traded him straight up for Mark Reynolds.

It would be more fun if we had at least a SHOT at finishing fourth in the AL East this year. Yeah, another year Petey can't even deliver that kind of hope.

Sadly, I could see it happen! If this team wasn't in the AL East, probably no way, but in that division... 100 is easily doable.

I really hoped the O's would sign that Cespedes guy from Cuba, but then again, didn't really think it would happen. The O's should be able to afford that contract he got from Oakland (4 years 36M)

Yeah that was what i thought too. Because 50M is a lot for a unproven 26 year old. But at 36M the O's should have pulled the trigger. And if he worked out to be good, they could trade Adam Jones, since we probably won't be able to re-sign him because we are to cheap... Maybe they could have worked out a deal with us getting Jair Jurrjens and the Braves getting Jones (Don't bash me on the proposal, don't know to much about the value about those two plays. kinda new to baseball)

I read this thing on the O's website that they are looking to compete and that DD said multiple times that he believes that they can do so. Really??? I just don't see that happening within the next 5 years.
On ESPN there is a future power ranking about how they think the power ranking will look in 5 years. And we are ranked below the Astros?!?!?!

There is a rumor that Peter Angelos wants to sell the Orioles and is quietly shopping them around.

Apparently the rumor is that he wants to sell the team but retain the TV rights. The team will never be bought unless he sells the TV rights as well though. So here is to hoping anyways. Without knowing too much about possible owners out there, I'd like Mark Cuban to buy them. He would spend money to win.

If this rumor is true about him wanting to sell the team but retain the TV rights, Angelos has removed all doubt (if there was any left) that he is only in it for the money and was never concerned about putting a winning team on the field.

Now the bad news...(beside the fact that Peter Angelos still currently owns the Orioles)

Zach Britton has some shoulder trouble that has been hindering him since last season and hasn't healed or gone away. He might start the season on the Disabled List and who knows what happens from there. Could get better or could require shutting him down all season depending on what the corrective procedure is.

On the bright side, Jones has signed prior his arbitration. they met in the middle, at just over 6 Million.
