Confirmed on NFL.com.  I think it's a smart move by the Raiders to get Carson Palmer ready.
Agreed, BUT the question is ready for what? 2005/2006 Carson or every other year in the league Carson :D

Whatever it may be, it's better than Boller. This week is just to get Carson in the groove of things.

Yeah, I know...I just think its funny that people think Carson is "over the top" good. Good luck, Mr Boller. You should be okay against KC.

It should make it little easier on Kansas City but as i post this it will turn out to be the game of his career.

There is a part of me that wants to see Kyle Boller do well for the Raiders but it won't matter regardless since Carson Palmer will start for them no matter what after the bye week for them.

Yeah I am one of those Boller guys. He was a diamond in the rough that never got the treatment or training he needed.
I dont think he could have been one of the best ever, but with the right O-line and some help here and there ( and there and there and there and there ) I think we could have seen some great things from him.

Good luck on Sunday Kyle. Prove me right !

I wouldn't classify myself as a "Boller guy" but I still would like to see him do well.

The Raiders could have just traded for Derek Anderson. There's so much more promise in Derek. With Derek, you get a player who can play football.

I wish the Ravens were playing the Raiders this weekend with that news. Nothing would be greater than seeing Ray, Suggs, JJ or Ngata jacking up Boller.

I always felt that Boller wasn't handled properly when he was here. I don't think he would have ever been great, but he would have been serviceable IMO. So that part of me really wants him to light up KC. Even though it won't matter in the end because we all know Palmer is going to be the starter in the long run. Then I want Palmer to tank lol

I hope Boller does well.

I could understand if you saw something in him when it came to motivation( and his numbers say no)...but he married Carrie Prejean. Do you need more proof to think that he's just a loser?

So uh the raiders definitely lose.

Side note as brief as he played he had a 104.00 qb rating here one season.

I wish Boller nothing but the best, he was a classy guy here in the midst of a media and fan poo storm
I still wonder if Boller would have been able to become a Franchise QB if he had a better offensive line and legit weapons at WR. Kinda makes me think under Cam(if he didn't get injured) he would have been able to revive his career, similar to how Alex Smith has done that under Jim Harbaugh.

Ha, except for last year and the year before.....you're too funny. Here's to another solid decade from the Raiders :)

Joe in the last two years - 7,200+ yards with 46 TD's and 22 INTs, while Palmer - 6,900 yards 47TD's and 33 INT's. Have you even followed both of these guys, or are you still living in 2005 when Palmer was good?!?!?!?

Did you see the QB Ranking for this year. Jason campbell was 19 , Mark Sanchez was 20 and Joe Flacco_ didn't have the time to look it up as they only had top twenty. Man too bad Raiders didn't try to trade Boller back to the ravens.

You're clueless....you're looking at a 5 game sample size like it means something. FULL BODY OF WORK!!! Why do some people have a hard time understanding this concept?!?!?

Come on man.. This guy doesn't deserve anyone's attention..

He is either a horrible troll or an extremely prejudiced Raiders fan who has zero knowledge when it comes to football. Whichever of these two is true, he's not really worth arguing with.

Have fun losing with Palmer after mortgaging the future for him.

Boller and Palmer are as inept as one another and you can't win with scrubs playing QB.

Despite everything, I always liked Kyle Boller. Even got his jersey haha I was like 10 years old. Good luck Kyle here's to a 300 yard game!

Finally you get it. Your not winning anything with <deleted> Joe Flacco. When healthy(from all reports he is 100%) Carson Palmer is a top five Qb. Again so you can throw out stats when palmer was injured they mean very little. There is no doubt you can't make that claim with Joe Flacco. Like Boller , he has to start showing more or hes done in baltimore. Joe Flacco healthy and still no one thinks hes a top qb.
