Out Ot Towner

Hello Raven fans. I'm taking my son to his first NFL game. I'm coming from the eastern panhandle of WV. What are the best options as far as parking or should I take the light rail? From what point would it be best. I would appreciate any help.

Coming from out of town, I would recommend Light Rail, which drops you off at the stadium's east side entrance for a couple bucks each way. Park at Cromwell (Glen Burnie), Linthicum, or the BWI employees' lot for free, or at BWI hourly parking garge for $2/hour. Check http://www.mtamaryland.com/services/lightrail/schedule/

If you are into tailgating, there is tailgate parking available on a daily (cash) in privately run lots under the I-395 viaduct and along Warner Street. Coming from the WVa panhandle, you would have to leave by about 6 am to garner a spot.

If you want to drive all the way and don't care to tailgate, try one of the downtown parking garages - from University of Maryland over to Little Italy, and walk a few blocks.

If you do take the light rail ($6.00 round trip)
I would reccomend getting off at the stop AFTER M&T Bank Stadium (Hamburgh Street stop) and get off at Camden Yards. ( that is if you get on SOUTH of the stadium which Cromwell is)
That gives you the opportunity to walk down "Ravens Walk" between the two stadiums. Vendors, sites, a bunch of neat things. Plus that entrance is the one with the Johnny U. statue. Rub his foot for good luck for the team that day.
