I agree with almost all you said-except for a couple of things. Rodgers is CONSISTENT-I'm not sure Joe even knows how to spell the word.. and does it really matter if you have excellent receivers if Joe can't get them the ball 51% completion -so almost half the balls hes throwing this year are incomplete and 3rd Rogers is not afraid to tuck that ball and run whereas Joe looks like Jerry Lewis out there. I don't want him to be the next Peyton Manning all I want is consistency. No more rollercoasters it's not fun anymore!

And I will agree with the consistency thing, he has definitely had his share of ups and downs. That being said lets look at the cause of a few of those.

Drops from normally sure handed receivers.

It may seem almost irrelevant however you need to bear in mind as with all the statistics the less you have thrown the greater and incompletion will reflect int the stat column. for instance if you throw 10 balls miss 5 you are at 50 percent, whereas you throw 50 and mis 5 that is a 90 percent completion rate. All those balls the receivers have dropped have taken a toll on his stats.

Then you have to look at o line play, sure you will rarely have perfect protection, however joe has been hit almost as much as any QB in the league.

Second we have played some pretty tough D's. One that relies on pressure and 2 that have their secondaries on fire.

Joe is not afraid to tuck and run either, he is just a down the field pocket passer guy, bigger plays will be made when you keep your eyes down the field unless you are Vick. And even then he could have made some bigger plays but used his feet too often.

Second just look how the season started. Doss was the rookie who most though was going to be starting. Then we got Evans, Joe developed chemistry with him, the he got hurt. We had to revert back to Torrey with whom Joe is still building chemistry. Then you throw into the mix that we have multiple receiving tight end options who have different speed. All in all it is impressive that all things considered he has done as well as he has.

Ya my point exactly-Joe turns into Pee Wee Herman under pressure but proved he can play under pressure against Houston-so again which Joe will we get this week?

Hey wiz you can't expexct Joe to out perform our D vs jax man...what if we win clearly cuz of both Joe n our D cuz there's no way our D is gonna choke to even give Joe half a chance to win it wich I know 150% for sure he can but your basically sayin it's gonna take our D to underperform HIGHLY wich ain't happening n Joe to smash jax D for you to get off his back...C'mon man!!! That's not fair

I have to admit (with some reservation) that at first I was a true critic of Joe Flacko; I saw his skills in the pocket as mediocre at best. But my heart has changed, I've seen the light. Flacko is a truely outstanding QB. While it's true that he could have better awareness, and that the O-line could do a better job of protecting him; the one thing that gives him my respect is HEART.

So what if he doesn't rant on the protection, or raise the roof when a receiver drops a perfect pass; the truth is this guy is fighting for our beloved Ravens, as well as for respect. Given the amount of occasional bad press and fan criticism this guy takes, for him to come back game after game with the same determination to win... well, I can't complain about that, nor do I find reason to continue any further. The way I see it, it's time to start standing behind this cat. His deserved respect is well earned. The support of our QB is just as important as positive feedback from a sideline coach, if not more so. Imagine M&T full of fans chanting his name, pushing him to victory... that's enough to blow his chest open with confidence. I hope anyone who reads this will join me in letting him know how much he's appreciate in the games to come.

With that said, Do your thing Flacko. Take it to 'em, baby! nuff said.

I was watching his game with a skeptical eye before. But i like the guy, he takes a lot of crap, but he's a really tough kid, could he make quicker reads? yea, but the kid if foreal. He's the perfect QB for our system, and i've enjoyed watching him lead the charge this year.

Wiz - the guy lacks overall consistency, yes! We all know that. BUT he is growing and is ONLY in his 4th year......ah, forget it. I don't care anymore. Go on hatin' the dude.

the very first way that we can show this cat (that's a word that is music to my ears....lol) that he's appreciated is to spell his name right. it's spelled Flacco not Flacko. lol!

While we're all on the subject of former Ravens qbs, Troy Smith is playing in the UFL now (after being beaten out by Alex Smith, btw) as the third string qb of the Oklahoma Nighthawks, along with that other Ohio State great, Maurice Clarett. I'm sure if we called Troy would be more than happy to drop his current gig and rejoin the Ravens.

...just to be totally clear here: You're not, er, you're ... not serious, are you? I mean, you aren't lobbying for a Troy Smith comeback?

Are you serious? Cause I kind of hoped people would get my sarcasm in lobbying for Smith since I'm the biggest Flacco supporter/defender I know, but it sounds like maybe it didn't come across the way I wanted to.
