Who To Cut?

I got both Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski.
Theyre both on thier BYE this week and I got to cut 1.

Who do you guys think will be Bradys main target going foward this season?
When comparing their stats this year take account Aaron missed 2 games with a injury...

Aaron: 41 Targets, 27 catches, 289 yards, 3 TDs. 3 plays 20+yds or more.
Rob: 38 Targets, 29 catches, 401 yards, 5 TDs. 8 plays 20+yds or more.

They both are good but I feel like I'm leaning a little more towards Aaron.
He's missed 2 full games and has 3 more targets then Rob who has played all of them I think Tom likes throwing to him more. Also I feel Rob is a better blocker and may be used to block more then Aaron would.

The first 2 weeks when they were both healthy looked like this
Aaron: 14 REC 165 YDS 2 TDs
Rob: 10 REC 172 YDS 3 TDs

Week 5 when Aaron came back...
Aaron: 13 REC 124 YDS 1 TD
Rob: 10 REC 105 YDS 0 TD

Tough decision......

I would cut the Gronk and have no ill feelings. Aaron is the more explosive player. He gets the deep targets. I would rather have Aaron as well.

But before you cut Gronk have you tried all trade opportunities? You should be able to get something pretty good.

Rob has 150 YAC and Aaron 75. I really dont know whos more explosive or what. I wish their was some site to show how many redzone targets they get. But I sent some trades and no responds yet. Waivers are wendsday morning so I got 2 days left.

go the trade route, hell it might hurt a little bit, but if your team is strong enough consider taking the goose egg for the week... most FA TE's aren't putting up great #'s, and the guy who drafted Gates could be hurting @ the position right now

I'd hold on to Gronkowski. Personally, I just couldn't part with the 2nd highest scoring TE through 6 weeks, especially since he will likely remain as one of Tom Brady's favorite red zone options given his size. With Aaron Hernandez being only 6'1, there's a whopping 5 inch difference between Rob & the rest of the starters at the skill positions. It's still a bit of a conundrum, since it'd be tough to predict exactly which will excel, since they are both very solid TEs. But I'd go with the one with better production, and that's definitely Gronkowski.

Cut your Defense and get a TE. Defenses are expendable, especially when they score negative points.

In my league defense scores alot, I got the 49ers defense and bills....im cutting bills this week for cowboys d. I might have to just cut Julio Jones for the TE I want but y WRs would be very slim

It's a real toss-up. I'd say ax Ron, because Aaron's more efficient and gets more looks from Brady.

I would try to trade them, and see if you get interest for either one, then trade one of them if you can

drop bills Defense, and try to get something VERY good for either one of your te's, also drop your K for a replacement. you'll probably take a goose egg @ def but I would always look for some sort of trade value for one of your TE's. and I'll say again... aim for the guy with Gates... or even keep an eye on the guy with Daniels, if he didn't game plan well daniels will go down for the season, happens every year.

I wouldn't bet against it. Gronkowski's worst game of the season came with Hernandez on the sideline. Once again, it's still a toss up. I personally like Hernandez better in terms of skillsets, but I wouldn't be able to tell you who'd outperform who on any given week. In all honesty, I don't see the reason of keeping 2 defenses around. You should use one of these TEs as trade bait, try to package him and another player for an upgrade at your weakest position, and then pick up a reserve defense.

When its 49ers defense in a league where defense score alot and other people hold on to elite defenses, I have too. But yea Ima have to drop Gronk, I cant trade him

Personally, I just wouldn't prioritize acquiring a 2nd defense over finding a trade partner who's looking for an upside at the TE spot. I'm sure that you could find a potential suitor in the following few weeks for one of them. It is your call though. Hope it works out for you.

thanks man and I tried with everyone already. Some know I gotta cut 1 so they dont wanna trade for either of them and the others are set at TE its only 7 team league

Oooh. I definitely see the problem then. I had no idea it was a 7 team league. That's a good point about other teams knowing. Tough situation.

Are you sure that's a good idea? The Bills have the 9th-ranked fantasy D, only 1 pt behind the Giants and Bengals. The Cowboys are tied with the Raiders and Steelers for 17th place.

Bills scored 0 last week and I still won thankfully lol, plus they only get points from turnovers, they give alot like the 3rd most yards total and points. Plus Cowboys at home VS the Rams with an injured Bradford. Sounds lovely to me.

bye week is only 1 week, you dont have to cut anyone, and def is expendable, as they are most likely to score you negative points.

I wouldnt of had a TE though. I cut Jones and got Davis. But now I only have 2 WRs, I tried getting colton but couldnt
