Bench Jimmy and Lee this week?

49 posts in this topic

True, we really don't need Grubbs, Lee, or Jimmy back, but it'd be nice to see Grubbs and Jimmy play. Grubbs needs to shake off some rust probably and the Jags have no good pass rushers worth naming, and Jimmy needs some gametime experience fast for Steelers/Playoffs. I'd also like to see Lee play, but i'd be fine with him resting.

We are winning without them so they will be a great boost when they get back and healthy, so why rush any of them and risk set backs. What sucks the most is that Jimmy should be out there learning and playing with our defense, Seeing how Hall of Fame defenders go about business ... that aspect is crucial to his development and I cant wait till hes healthy and starts his progression.

I'm hoping to see them and Ben against the Jags but only if they are 100%. That's what these good solid performances without them are giving us. It's a chance to get completely healthy. I just want the Ravens to continue to play well and win as everyone else does. I would like to see us at 100% for Pittsburgh. If we can go into that game with 1 loss and blow them off the field, I would believe we can ride that momentum to the best record in the AFC.

The Steelers have to play the Pats, win or lose they help us as long as we keep winning.

The Pats lose then we have a game up on them and have to beat Pittsburgh to maintain our lead over them.

If the Steelers lose to the Pats then we have a two game cushion if we continue to win going into the Steelers showdown.

I say sit them out and maybe bring them in for a few select plays against the cards as a tune up for the squealers when they will be a full time participate in a 31-10 beat down of the squealers again

We need Grubbs back, the pressure the Texans was getting on us was ridiculous. Jags have the capabilities to put on the pressure on just like the Texans, Steelers O-line just had a great day.

I'm not taking any team likely. Just an example is Cincinnati. Don't they have a rookie QB as well? What's their record?

They have 1 win over a good team

If Jimmy and Grubbs r ready to go I would give them the extra week and bring them back when we play Arizona at home. They need some game time experience before we play the steelers. I hope the target date for Evans is the steelers game I personally don't think he will be 100% the rest of the season.

If I were to bet, I would say that Grubbs and Smith play but Evans takes another week off. Just a guess because people have been saying Grubbs has been close for a couple weeks now, and last week there was reports of Jimmy Smith warming up and looking solid. I don't even know about Evans. I don't hear anything about him. So I don't assume anything good

as long as our guys are healthy they have to see the field to be ready for the playoffs. it is still a long road but i think we will need everyone we have at the end.
but like i said: most important: getting healthy no matter what...

I really want Jimmy to play, but not until he's 100%... we're going to need him down the stretch. Same for Grubbs and Evans.

Agreed - I want to see them in action, but I don't want them to risk reinjury against the Jags or the Cardinals.

I'm really curious to find out who practiced today, how much, and what the injury report is... unless everything is pushed back a day due to the Monday Night game.

"hopes to play this season" says Lee?! Shades of Drew Bennett...the free-agent signing that we (or at least I) thought was going to make a big impact but really did nothing. Hopefully he can come back, he would be a huge boon to this offense

Hopefully David Reed can provide something to the offense. Boldin and Smith are playing well but we really need to start getting some production from the 3rd WR spot.

I don't think we'll ever see him at WR. Hes solely a KR
