AFC North Defenses

The top three defenses in the NFL by yards allowed go
1. Steelers
2. Bengals
3. Ravens

and not far behind at number 7 the Browns.

I think this just reassures the AFC North as the leagues greatest defensive conference. It's kind of nice to see that during all the offensive records being broken that our conference plays hard nosed, defensive orientated football. I respect the other three teams in the conference for playing tough.

on another note it's gotta be hard to be a starting qb in the AFC north, taking all those hits and facing some of the leagues greatest defenses 6 times a season.

And by the defensive stat that matters (points), Ravens are #1 at 14.2 allowed!!

In terms of yard per play the rankings are...

1. Ravens
2. Steelers
3. Bengals

That is pretty crazy. Sucks that we have to face these AFC North teams 6 times a year but that's what the AFC North and these tough, blue-collar teams are predicated on.
