MNF: Ravens At Jaguars

320 posts in this topic

Ok, I've think I've caught up to all the tidbits so far, so here goes...

Not to be conservative, but I always see it as "Any Given Sunday." Granted, we are going up against Jacksonville and we've had 6 weeks of football to see what they can produce. The Tennessee game was only the 2nd week and no one really knew what either team was capable of, which is why I think a lot of people slept on the Titans. I'm going with the Ravens winning this one with +17 points; we're deadset on being RELENTLESS this year and refuse to skip out on any nails when hammering down our opponents coffin!

MNF seems like the perfect dish to prove the the world that our defense is as best as its ever been. I expect to see constant pressure on Gabbert which will only yield JAX mistakes and turnovers...enter ORGANIZED CHAOS!

I also agree that our offense is still a bit bi-polar, however I am confident that we're more than capable of continuing a strong offensive possession on each drive. With key returns of healthy players in Grubbs and Evans, Flacco will be able to quiet his critics in a Pro Bowl fashion.

Can someone explain how Jacksonville has a Home MNF game two years in a row(they played the Titans on MNF last season) and we still don't have a Home Monday Night game.

prolly to try and boost their fanbase..
Only thing i could think from a business perspective.
Would make sense to give them a primetime game to help recruit new fans for em.. They dont need to do that for us cause even though we are a smaller market we have a great fanbase.

It would be fantastic to go in there and put in a clinic on both sides of the ball. Total domination and destruction.

I'm not really giving Jax a chance in this one, personally.

I just hope that Flacco doesn't embarrass his supporters in primetime again.

Same here. Great game yesterday but Jax D is no pushover either, Alualu is becoming a real player in that defense and they still have Pozlusny, Daryl Smith and Rashean Mathis to worry about. Plus our boy DAWAN!

I'd love for Flacco to carve up this D but it hinges on our ability to improve the OL and get healthier. Hopefully Grubbs is back (though Gurode was a fine fill-in) and maybe we can finally see Jimmy, as well as our full WR corps. That would be a great show

I love Monday Night football!!! However I work third shift I wont be able to watch but twenty minutes of the game. 35-3 Ravens Flacco throws for over 300 yards again and Ray Rice has over 175 total yards. Although this could be another trap game for us being that we normally don't do well in fact of a national audience.

Did U forget Sunday night against the Jets?
If you look careful I said we normally don't play well on primetime games we had one good primetime game this year out of five that we will have (Jax,Pitt, SF and Chargers) so lets just wait and see I would love to be proven wrong but overall the last five years or so we haven't been very impressive on primetime regardless of winning or losing.

Jax has a decent defense, but aside from MJD no one on their offense is remotely scary. We will shut down their rush like we always do, and then they have to try to win by letting Gabbert throw the ball? Sounds like a recipe for a blow-out to me. Jags secondary isnt great either, I expect antoher big day from Joe. Ravens win 30-9

Nope.
Wont work.
The haters will all say he was playing against a poor defense, bla, bla, bla.

Some Flacco haters will never ever be happy.

The Jags facing us, the Steelers, and the Texans in back to back weeks? Damn, they're gonna be battered after this one.

No ones had it worse then the Rams...

I just hope Jack Del Rio doesn't channel his inner Todd Haley and points his finger and yells at Harbaugh post game lol, or maybe he'll threaten to not talk to him ever again like Spagnolo did lol.

I think we are going to start seeing a trend of angry coaches. Although I'm not sure Jack Del Rio even cares at this point. I feel bad for the guy

Can't wait until Monday Night. I will be at the game supporting my team and honoring the town of my birth...DUNDALK. I have a ticket at the 15 yd line, behind the Ravens bench. Railing...on the end! My sign will read,
RAVEN
MANIAC
Dundalk, MD.
I hope I make it back to the hotel without any wounds!.....lol

it´s gonna be a tough game. we should win this. we are the better team by any aspect. if we play defense like we did the first five games we should´t have a problem. i have a 38-10 for the ravens.

i have a feeling it will turn out like the rams game...

Interesting. But I think the gameplan will be all MJD.
