flacco was good today. i don´t care about the interception but he should have thrown the ball to the wide open pitta for a sure td. cannot believe that he didn´t see him. other than that he made great throws. like he does every game....
Yeah I couldn't believe he missed that either until they replayed it about a dozen times and I realized how much pressure Joe was feeling at the time.

Would've liked to see some passing TDs, but Joe stepped up when he needed to. He was doing some seriously stupid things in that middle stretch there, but those big plays to Smith and Boldin sealed the game. Good game from him.

I see the 50yrd bomber from Flacco to Torrey will come more frequently as the season goes; I think it sort of resembling Fitz/Boldin in Arizona.

Joe's accuracy was off at the beginning, but I think when he continued to make short passes to get his rythym going, he made pretty good passes down field and sideline.

Passing protection?

No...Joe is just doing his normal "ill hold on to the ball an extra 5 seconds" routine

Pass protection wasn't great but dont confuse the two

You've got to be kidding me. Pass protection was awful. Joe looked like a pinball out there the first half. Granted the O line settled a bit for the 2nd half but no, it wasn't on Joe this time. Protection was horrible.

I'm watching the game again right now. The pocket collapses and totally unblocked D-line and ends are on Flacco in 3 seconds or less.

Holding on to the ball 2 long...bad throws on top of not being able to put 7 on the board when he had great chances too..but pulling out the win = a decent game

Sorry but that's no hate..

i am watching the Ravens Postgame Live show and i appreciate what Joe just said about the Ravens offense....

"I think that we can be sloppy at times...and we're not as consistent as we want to be yet throughout a game! "

FINALLY!!!

i have been saying this all along and to hear my QB Joe Flacco say and admit this (instead of many cats in here trying to defend his horrible gameplay at times) actually makes me feel a lot better! i am not bashing at all! i think that Joe did well (could have been better of course) in the game today but please....be honest and admit where you are.....so you can fix it!

let's clean it up Joe and come out swinging next week against the Jaguars

What is your definition of "too long"? From what I'm seeing (from this game atleast) Joe gets rid of the ball normally 3-4 seconds after getting his hands on it.

I just wish he could've gotten a td or two to enhance his stats a bit

lol stop, Flacco did not have good protection today. Anyone with two eyes could see that. Even some of those great completions were made as he was getting hit.

At some point today Joe just had to shrug his shoulders and say " This is going to be one of those days. " One of those days where he gets the crap knocked out of him, time and time again.
and he did. Yet he stood there and took the hits to finish the play.

I dont know how many times every one saw him plant his feet and throw the ball with a defender flying in on him un touched. He didnt run, he didnt buckle. He threw the ball and finished the play.

Hats off to Flacco today. One HECK of a game considering all the pressure he was seeing.

I think the point is that there was nothing to admit. Who expected this O to come out hitting on all cylinders? So many new players, so little time to gel........ No reason to criticize now. If the same "sloppiness" is there in December, then we might need to worry.

Curious ...The fumble...

Was that Joe or the line?
I'd say it was on Joe.

Actually, after watching that play he could have easily ran up field with it if he hadn't lost the ball. Texans linebackers were way WAY back in coverage.

On Joe. Yes the line collapsed but he didn't sense the pressure soon enough. No one said he had a perfect game. He did put up 300 yds on a good D though. 1st half was bad, but most of that was due to poor O line play. Which is why our run game couldn't get going in the 1st half either.

What is "too long"? He was stepping up in the pocket to throw (3 seconds) and lost the ball.

who expected the O to come out hitting on all cylinders? what? you didn't? especially after a bye week? well i did! all of us should've expected that! besides...Joe Flacco said that the offense was sloppy....not me bruh! my post was not a critcism but an observation and a direct quote from the QB himself. and.....the only ones who keep using that lame "new players not much time to gel" excuse are the fans and media. Joe didn't do that at the post game interview. i respect him more for that.

It's because that's literally the only play I can think of in which Joe may have held on to the ball too long(Even though only a couple seconds had gone by). Every other play was because of instant pressure right from the snap. SMH

Props to Joe for the nice passes. I do believe he had a massive part in this offense.

While I think he still needs to grow, and by no means anywhere close to a Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Manning etc; I think he just does fine for us (while we still have a D like this of course).

That INT could have proved costly, but Joseph has always had the Ravens number anyway.

I give him a solid 7/10 for today.

I hope people realize that Houston came into this game ranked 7th in the league against the pass (and left ranked 11th). So far, we have not played a single team (including St. Louis) not ranked in the top 15 in passing defense, and the bengals and Browns coming up are ranked 3rd and 4th in the league in PD right now. Our passing offense is suffering from chemistry issues, yes, but we are also playing top passing defenses every week, it seems like.
