Joe Flacco Carried This Offense

142 posts in this topic

For the majority of this game the Ravens had no run game and the OL was very poor at pass protection. Cam made more questionable play calls and was driving me nuts.

Flacco really had little help and he had to make big plays and stand in a pocket that dissolved quickly, I give him much props, it wasnt pretty but he got it done. When I say he carried the offense I mean he had no help in the run game, their were more stupid penalties on Gurode and Pitta...the OL had a bad day, the only play that Joe really made a mistake on was the INT before the half..that ball sailed high on him and got tipped for a INT

..other than that Joe really made this offense today, I realize at the end of the game the run game got going...thank God, because we needed to run time off the clock

It still amazes me that there were ppl hating on Joe Flacco, like it was his fault he was getting beat up, his fault there was no run game, and his fault the play calling at times was suspect

Thank you Joe for leading this offense!!!

Yup. All the fickle fans saying we need to throw out Joe are delusional. Without him we might not have won that game. Yeah, he started a little sketchy and our offense had some problems throughout the game, but they pulled more than their weight. Our D did well, too.

Happy about this win. Good stuff.

Joe was throwing behind recievers on crossing patterns which irked me a bit. Otherwise, he played a good game.

O-Line got eaten alive by that Houston pass rush. Gotta give props to Wade Phillips for turning that defense around from last season.

Get better soon Grubbs!

i'd give the most credit to RR as usual but yes flacco did an amazing job today. He was amazing besides the interception and i believe two other bad throws

Not really, RR had 100 yards rushing and Smith/Q caught 50+ yard catches. Not every receiver can do that

not every receiver can catch the ball 50 yards down the field? cmon man.
well this is actually true... not every qb can throw a 50 yard bomb on point while getting hit.. but i guess tyrod can do that too

There were probably 5 plays where you could point the finger of blame at Joe but at the end of the day he made some plays which put points (albeit more often 3 than 7) on the board. The second half he played really well.

I know it's a common theme after a game but I didn't think a lot of Cam's playcalling for the most part. He tried to run too much to the outside and were going nowhere.

flacco was good today. i don´t care about the interception but he should have thrown the ball to the wide open pitta for a sure td. cannot believe that he didn´t see him. other than that he made great throws. like he does every game....

Joe played great today. He was being mauled on just about every pass play and kept his composure throughout the game.

Hats off to Flacco!!!

Given how much pressure he had to deal with I think Flacco played well today. It's ridiculous all the criticism he was getting on here, without him we would have not won this game.

Dude, how dare you challenge anything anyone says about Flacco! Don't you know this is a Flacco-talitarianism around here?

Seriosuly, Joe did pretty good today. I think there are some things to improve on, like our red zone offense which is just absolutely atrocious! I'm still a little confused about the play calling at times as well. I think this was a victory from one of the more difficult teams on our schedule this year.

Flacco had more overall consistency throughout the game. He definitely took control of the offense come 2nd half and made several deep attempts to Boldin and Smith. This was a nice sight to see.

Joe didn't just carry our offense he carried a couple Houston defenders in the process.

It's about time we really focus on the beating Joe seems to take every week. I still cringe every time I see him get hit because he was getting WACKED. And, I admit I was very much doubting Flacco in my mind during this game. But you put it very well, he had little help. The second of the two third quarter bombs, he got completely rocked.

Good thread, exactly right. >300 yds, a couple nice deep shots. Lots of pressure and he stood in there and took some big shots. Missed a guy here or there. He's our guy and I think the passing game took a step forward today, despite the lack of TDs.

Getting to the point where I can't read "Flacco sucks" on these boards any more. I'm out before this devolves into a Flacco hatefest, which it surely will.
RR got most of those yards near the end of the game. Plus Flacco threw those passes on target. Didnt like Cams play calling in the redzone

i couldn't agree more man. I'm starting to realize that most of those mis-timed throws are actually his younng reciever's faults. Sometimes they break early or dont go up field far enough. But you hit the nail on the head, Flacco's is the man.

Ben Grubbs needs to get healthy because only then will this offense peak.

Flacco did pretty good, wasn't on the same page as a couple receivers but that's a two way streak. We played a great defense this week.

Our offense as a whole needs to get A LOT better in the red zone.

Seriously...?

People are saying he played a great and wonderful game ...?

Lol

I think saying Flacco played decent or ok is more acceptable.

Seriously?

People are still hating on Flacco?

Lol

I think he just put up 300 yards on a top 10 defense while getting little pass protection.

While Joe played well given the circumstances of pass protection and our run game not contributing (how weird, i feel like I had a thread on that last week.... ), I feel it was Billy Cundiff that Carried this offense lol.
