Who do you think will win this division, given the implosion of the Jets, the 0-5 Dolphins with Moore, the 4-1 Bills and the 5-1 Pats? The Pats' offense has been on fire, as expected, scoring an average of 31 pt a game and Brady throwing an average of 360.5 yd/game. However, their defense is horrible. Buffalo has a great offense and defense. Fred Jackson is the top RB with 601 rush yd, 279 receiving yd and 6 TD and Stevie Johnson has done great too. Their defense has 4 fumble recoveries the most INT, 12, and 3 turnover touchdowns.

Smart money is still on the Patriots, I doubt they lose to the Bills again, especially since it's in Foxborough next time. I'd like to see how the Bills perform over the next few weeks before I'm a believer. I like what they're doing right now, but the Bills have pissed away good starts before.

Is Tom Brady still quarterbacking the Patriots? Is Bill B. still coaching them? The choice here is obvious..... Buffalo for sure :)

Jk haha you gotta go New England.

I have to give the edge to Buffalo just because they already have a win over the Patriots. Though that is as of right now, but the next time the Pats & Bills play is in Week 17, so since that game will be Foxboro, and the last week of the season the winner of the AFC East will be decided long before week 17. We are talking about common opponent tie breaker with the Steelers, well that is going to help determine if the Bills win the East along with how they do against the Jets and Dolphins will be a huge deciding factor in this division.

Considering by Week 17, Tom Brady & BB will still be on the Patriots, and that I don't expect the Bills to stay with the Pats for the division, in the end the Patriots will win it, but Buffalo may have a shot at the Wild Card.

Yeah my head says that the Patriots manage to win the division but I think Buffalo has a good shot at a wildcard.

I'm surprised at the Jets slow start but happy to see Rex and co. fail. I think they are out of the division race but they could still get a wildcard if they get their act together.

The Dolphins are probably the favorite for the number 1 pick in April, they have no chance of winning the division.

Yeah, but Brady has 8 INT, including a Pick 6. He only threw for 226 yd against a bad Raiders' D. He has 5 TD/3 INT in the last 3 games. And the Pats' D is a joke.

I'm just saying that the Pats are far from clinching the division, what with the way the Bills have been doing.

I think the runner-up in the division will probably win the Wild Card.
[/quote]

I don't think so, the AFC Wild card Battle is a lot more tougher this year around. We have Oakland, Pittsburgh, Titans, Texans(whichever one doesn't win the South), add in the Bengals also. So it seems the year the Bills have a shot at the Wild card, other teams in the AFC are also better and could ruin the chances.

Oakland's going to falter, especially with their QB problems. The Titans and Bengals have great defenses, but mediocre offenses. The Texans are inconsistent, especially with Andre out. So I'm guessing the Wild Card will either go to the Bills, Pats, or as you pointed out, Steelers.

I wish I could decide as easily as most of you have. I think the pats defense is just that bad, and TOm Brady has not been lights out compared to the first 3 games. however he is still Tom Brady and is capable of just about anything within 2 minutes.

The bills, it looks like Fitzpatricks mojo may be fizzling but fred Jackson is ballin out this year, and that defense is improving every game.

It is too hard to decide but the pats do know how to win, and history says the Bills know how to lose.

51/49 patriots.

The Bills are now in 1st place in the AFC East. How do you all feel about this? Personally, I'm not surprised. Brady's cooled down considerably from the first 2 weeks, throwing 8 INT. And his D isn't giving him a break: they're ranked dead last.

Bills defense is a lot better than the Pats who are ranked last i believe. I feel the Bills can win the rematch too. Buffalo is a dangerous team with a very good QB...would not want to see them in the first round.

You know what's even more amazing right now..... if the playoffs were to begin, The Buffalo Bills would be the # 2 Seed and would have a Home Playoff Game.

I have to think that, considering the way the Patriots are imploding - apparently - and the performance of the Bills over the past two weeks, this gives me the belief that Buffalo may just make the division champions this season.

The Bills should win their division matchup against the Jets this week. The Pats have a harder matchup against the Giants, who have an elite offense and a good D. Eli, Bradshaw, Cruz and Manningham should all explode against the worst NFL D, so Brady will have to bring his A-game back to win.

Yeah this is kinda of a shocker here. Buffalo concentrated hard on improving their defense through the draft, they went defense the first 3 picks(Marcel Dareus, Aaron Williams and Kelvin Sheppard) and stuck with Fitzpatrick as the QB and everything has gone their way this season. Maybe not only are we seeing the end of a era in Indy but also in New England??

I wouldn't go so far as to say that. I'll wait til after they play the Giants at Gillette to see if they can rebound or not after their bye.

Pats caught a break that Ahmad Bradshaw and Hakeem Nicks won't be playing but it will still be interesting to see if they can stop the Giants offense regardless.

It's make or break for the Bills tomorrow, to prove they are serious they have to beat the Jets who are fresh off a Bye.

Lucliky for them, Jacobs just recovered from a knee injury and wasn't doing that well before, either. Manningham can be contained: AZ held him to 10 total yd; the Rams held him to 56.

Bills just couldn't get it done against the Jets... and it's scoreless in New England. ESPN updates their playoff standings as each game is completed and the Bills go from # 2 Seed to out of the playoffs and the Patriots back in control of the East. Now can the Pats take care of the Giants to secure the lead.

Patriots 5-2 (Game In Progress, 2-1 In Division)
Jets 5-3 (2-1 in Division)
Bills 5-3 (1-1 in Division)

Bills trying to give the AFC East back to the Patriots... but apparently the Patriots don't want it back lol. If Patriots lose then the Pats, Bills and Jets would all be 5-3.

Well, things sure got shaken up in the AFC East. The Bills lost to the Jets and the Patriots also got beaten. Heck, even the Phins won. The division is now in a 3-way tie. The Jets are now serious contenders in the most competitive NFL division.

Coming into this week of the season, I had no idea that things were going to be scrambled into what we're not seeing.

Still, I think we may be seeing a changing of the guard in the AFC East, especially as two of the original eight members of the "Foolish Club" - New York and Buffalo - are making some noise in a big way.
