I'm pretty sure he's smarter than Phil Savage. He's not going to Oakland or anywhere else. I think at one point when some other teams wanted to hire him he said if he's gonna become a GM it'll be in Baltimore and that he would wait until that time comes. There's no way he'll leave.

This may sound silly, but I would hope that Ray Lewis takes over the GM spot.

Huh? greatest player ever isn't concluded as a great GM. It's just a rare jem for HOF to be successful GM. It's bad idea for Ray to be GM.

We know we love Ray but he isn't fit as GM; like Michael Jordan greatest basketball ever but is bad GM. Talent evaluator is a different level of skill which is not equivalent to greatest talent on the field.

Dude, you think Ray Lewis wouldn't be fit to evaluate talent? He is one of the key forces in bringing in a lot of the top players we have.
Not just vets, he was very vocal in drafting Ngata, etc.
Who wouldn't want to play for him?
Besides, Ozzie is in the HOF, so your point isn't valid.

If Ray decides to do some, whether it's coaching or GM, he'll be one of the best ever, no doubt.

Did you read my post before replying? I was saying it's a rare gem for a HOF to be successful at GM so Ozzie is the rare.........

He wants to walk from football for good when he retires.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Decosta, pretty nice guy. Said he loved it here in Baltimore, I doubt he would leave.
