Week 4: Baltimore Ravens At Pittsburgh Steelers

1,253 posts in this topic

John Harbaugh just told Michelle Tafoya that the Ravens will become a dynasty, will win multiple championships, will become a model franchise, and will become the envy of the league.

If Coach Harbaugh says it, I believe it. Let's hope he's right. :)

All I'll say is, whatever happens, happens. If the night ends in a loss, then so be it -- but the important thing is, this game has to open the eyes of EVERY fan around the league. This game has to put the league on notice as to who the next major power in the AFC is.

This game has to prove that the Ravens are better than 5-11 of last season. They're better than 6-10 of 2005. And they're certainly better than 9-7 of 2004.

This team is a playoff-caliber team. As much as we might not want to admit it, it might not be this year -- but it'll be for years to come, without question.

LEAVE NO DOUBT. MAKE NO MISTAKE -- the Ravens have EVERYTHING to gain, and really, NOTHING to lose.

What's at stake? A 3-0 lead in the division, a 3-0 overall record, and only one divisional win (in theory) out of a wildcard berth at the very least.

What's the worst that can happen? A 2-1 divisional and overall record, and equal footing with the Steelers at one overall loss apiece.

No matter what happens, as long as the team plays its heart out, there is NOTHING for us to be ashamed of, and EVERYTHING for us to be proud of.

Is it just me, or was it awfully deflating to go from seeing the in-studio ESPN guys, to seeing Jaws/Tirico/Kornheiser???

Like, I went from being amped-up, to really, really, disappointed...

Those Steelers throwback uniforms make me want to vomit...

Not just because of the bad memories associated with them, but because of how awful they look. Ugh.

With a win over the Steelers, Flacco can become the first rookie quarterback since the Bengals' Greg Cook in 1969 to lead his team to a 3-0 start to the season. :P
