Max Starks' remarks about playing a full game lol:

OVERHEARD: "I saw [the Ravens'] Bryant McKinnie do it and I'm in way better shape than he is." Left tackle Max Starks on why he thought he could play the entire game after signing with the Steelers four days earlier.

I'd take offense to this especially if I were McKinnie after busting my butt to get in shape with Ray and Ed. Reason #1,513123423423 we will kick their butts come Sunday, Nov. 6, at 8:20 p.m. on NBC (:-) at Heinz field!!!!

Why would this fire anyone up? I almost feel like Starks had a need to throw an insulting phrase out at the Ravens, and couldn't come up with anything better.

Max Starks better than McKinnie? Ok why was McKinnie on the field in Week 1 and not Max Starks if that was the case? If the Steelers thought you were better they wouldn't have released him, and most importantly why did he sit in Free Agency until Week 5 of the NFL? Surely no team wanted to add a better player right?

Case Closed.

My only thing is after you get whooped 35-7, wouldn't you get the point to shut your mouth about your rivals players. Whats next? Ryan Clark gonna call out Flacco's 49% completion percentage?

I don't get why we should be offended...

no one does! this is trivial.

our focus is the Texans on Sunday.

It's to our advantage if Starks can play a whole game. Otherwise, we risk the chance of one of PIT young guys stepping up and playing well

I say they can say whatever they want. As Ray Lewis says "You hear all this yap, yap, yap, but the bottom line is you have to buckle up your chin straps." ;o)
