Holy..

Why does every thread digress into Flacco arguments?!
he's the QB bruh! that position alone makes him a lightning rod for criticism.

Yes, but EVERY THREAD? Is every QB this criticized by his fanbase?
New York and Philly are two media outlets that scrutinize everything more than we do; Boston as well.

Scrutinize everything, yes. Lord knows Philly fans are thorough. But the way we get on Joe, I can't imagine that happening many other places.

I was talking quarterbacks-specific. I'm positive the New York offense gets thrashed sometimes, and the Patriots fans are livid over their D and Ochocinco. And Philly fans probably hate their whole team right now.

i hear you! but, that is the reality man...especially when Flacco himself says; "I think that i am pretty damn good!" and yet, that doesn't always translate in his gameplay on Sunday. i hope it will on Sunday vs the Texans though...lol

I don't understand why Flacco has to be brought up in a thread that is concerning Lee Evans' ankle? Unless Joe caused his injury - ala Julio Jones / Matt Ryan - then why does he need to be discussed? It's a rhetorical question, of course... some will try to degrade Flacco any opportunity they get.

I'm sure he'll be 100% and play at some point. He could start Sunday, though I could see us waiting until we play Pitt since Jax and Arizona shouldn't be really hard games.

I'm hoping Lee Evans will be good to go for this week. We'll have to wait and see how the injury report pans out. My guess is he might be questionable and suited to play, but only if we need him.

If anything this gives him the opportunity to heal up for another week and allows the other WRs (particularly the rookies) to step up.

I don't have a vendetta against Joe just want the best for my team and don't feel we are getting it with the sometimes on sometimes off Flacco. I stopped riding rollercoasters a few years ago but I don't think they have changed much. You get on one - they are fun for a second-they scare the crap out of you-then they stop and leave you with a queasy feeling. To me that about sums up my feelings on Flacco.

Fine. Then who would you rather have quarterbacking the Ravens?

I doubt Lee comes back this week at this point. Apparently he sat out again today (thurs). Yes, getting very annoying but it is what it is.

The only player I think we get back this week is probably Grubbs.

David Garrard. Unless I'm confusing him with another poster.

I sometimes wonder if Flacco reads the forum
Well I'm positive Troy Smith is the real identity of someone on this forum. Now I may just be paranoid, but anything is possible.

If all we get out of Evans is 2 appearances (and W's) vs the Steelers then I'll feel like we at least got his most important contributions, excluding the postseason of course.

Sadly, this is where I'm at with this guy.

Kirk out? Is that a Star Trek reference? If so, well played.
yup.
Its actually a phrase from my youth. ( 80's) I am not sure who came up with it, but it wasnt me. Its a pretty cool figure of speech.

Skilled position players depend on their ankles and hamstrings a little more than the big fellas up front.
Can't help but wonder why these ankle injuries are lagging a little longer with l.evans and j.smith. 3 and 4 weeks for ankles, some ppl return faster on mcl acl sprains.

Lee Evans is like fools gold looks great and gets you all excited when you find it then you are let down when you find out it is not real ha but seriously i really think he will be good for us if he is 100% I am i bit bummed that it is taking so long for him to get healthy. Lee take your vitamins get healthy!

Im really suprised by some of our fans responses. Some of you have obviously never had ankle or leg injurys. They hurt to walk on, much less run full speed, sprinting down the sideline of a football field awaiting a defender to tackle you. Sprain your ankle, and I'd like to see you run full speed within 30 days! I used to skateboard, so I wrecked my ankle on a consistant basis. Its hard to rebound from in short time

i whant him at 100% before he gets out there. i like that we have him. he will make plays for us but more important he can tutor smith and sjhow him how to play with those kind of speed. those veterans can really help young guys to develop...

Sadly, some ankle sprains never heal back to normal and can be a problem forever. I had a severe ankle sprain 25 years ago and it still acts up when pushed. Judging from the time Evans has had issues, his may be a chronic problem. Hopefully, this will not be the case with JS.

Torrey will continue to improve and be THE MAN! And with Reed and Williams in the fold, this should give us the needed depth of talent at WR.
