Will Lee Evans Ever Be 100% (Or Even Play?)

113 posts in this topic

From what I've heard, Evans had this same injury since the end of last season. Months later, he's still dealing with it. Buffalo was apparently content with giving him up for a 4th rounder which makes me even more suspicious now.

All I know is that he has some kind of ankle injury which has plagued him for nearly a year now and I've yet to hear anyone actually say he's getting better. Maybe I missed a press conference where Harbaugh says he is getting better, and if so please enlighten me.

So what do you guys think? Are we going to have a 70% Lee Evans for the rest of his time in Baltimore? Does anyone even know what exactly this injury is? Hope he gets better soon since he'd make a great compliment to Boldin.

All reports from the Ravens and Evans are that he's close, but not quite there yet... any injury having to do with an athlete's foot/ankle is going to take more time to heal. If he's not back this week, he will more than likely return next week.

Yeah the problem with any injury below the waist is that you always have to use it to get around, so they usually take longer to heal. I imagine we will eventually see him 100% it is just a matter of time.

The thing for me is this. Was it a good trade initially not really. however we have enough talent to mask this while he does get truly 100 % because we are not in dire straights so, once he is back it should be the last time we here of this so I am Ok with him sitting as long as necessary.

I understand that ankle/leg/foot injuries take a while, but he's had this injury since last year. On top of that, I can't even figure out WHAT the injury is. A few weeks or even months for serious ankle injuries makes sense, but this injury doesn't even seem to have any real classification AND it's still hampering his play.. nearly a year later.

Harbs has taken a strong stance on injury-related disclosures. I'm surprised we know as much as we do!

This is a different leg than the one last season according to Lee in an interview earlier this season. I think it was after Titans game.

Lee is a great player and we will certainly need him come playoffs. I think he will get healed up

Just went back to check how/when his injury first came up. According to Rotoworld, Evans suffered a high ankle sprain (sometime between Nov. 7 - Nov. 10?). The updates from then on out show it as a reoccurring issue. That's like.. 11 months since the initial injury.

Alright, that makes more sense then because 11 Months for a high ankle sprain sounds crazy.

I just wish he was here now, his chemistry with Flacco was just instant. Flacco/Torrey isn't quite there yet.

Maybe he shouldnt have overthrown Torrey in the Jets game

Which would be because the chemistry isn't quit there yet.....

I hope he doesn't become the next Todd Heap with these injuries. I realize it's not his fault but nagging injuries just bug me. I hate wondering every week if a guy is going to play or not.

This is why I love this board, conversations like this haha.

Either Evans comes back, or we actually game plan plays for Torrey on the deep posts or dig routes more often to utilize his speed. Otherwise we're in the same boat as last year offensively, just with faster TEs.

Let Leeroy get the rest he needs. We'll probably just ground and pound it these next couple of weeks, and Torrey can act as the decoy until we get him back. I'm not worried about his injury, I'm just kind of curious as to why Harbaugh and company won't really tell us what's wrong

It was an issue when he was in camp. He was wearing a boot after practice before the season started. Unless he has 2 left legs, it's the same ankle.

i saw coach Harbs give that report on tv the other day. he is trying to keep a tight lip on whether or not Lee or Jimmy will be healthy enough to play against the Texans as to not give them an advantage in gameplanning. football politics at its best!

I've just come to accept the fact that Anquan has several identities.

Bouldan, Boldin, Bolden, Boulden and Boldan are just 5 of them
