Do You Guys Have A Guilty Pleasure Team?

61 posts in this topic

I'm starting to like the 49ers more and more. My best friend is a huge 49ers fan, and they're always on because I live in California. They remind me a lot of the Ravens. Very hard hitting, fast and physical defense. I'm also a huge fan of Frank Gore and I like Alex Smith.

Bills.

I have a few friends in Buffalo who are die hard Bills fans and they are some real cool fans.
Plus they are having a good season too. :)

The Steelers.

Oh wait, I thought the question was who has the most guilty of seeking pleasurable things.

Since I am from Cincinnati, I have a little hometown love for the Bengals.

Other than that, no. Maybe the Raiders, but that's only because my aunt is a fan and I like their team.

I am riding the Lions bandwagon! lol but on a more serious note, its hard to NOT like the Lions right now. If any team deserves to do well it has to be them.

Just curious. I didn't know the 49ers were such a popular team. I guess it's because of their history.

Bills and Lions. Have been rooting for them to get something good going for their franchises. Their fans are pretty classy and you can't doubt their loyalty.

That said, if necessary I hope we knock the Bills out of the playoffs and beat the Lions in the SB lol They'll get their turn some other year.

Yea, when you're a kid and your family HATES the Redskins and Cowboys, the 9ers are an OBVIOUS choice. LOL

I root for the Eagles so long as it does not hurt the Ravens. I do not have anything against Philly and I do have family from there. Green Bay is a close second.

My other favorite team is the Packers because of #30 John Kuhn (from York PA to Green Bay (plus I share a collegiate alma mater with him (I share a collegiate alma mater with Brent Grimes of the Falcons too now that I think about it))).

Plus I've got a girliecrush on Aaron Rodgers. :)

I don't know...when LJ played for the Chiefs I took pleasure in their success. No team can compare to the Ravens. Guess it would have to be an NFC team, maybe somebody like Chicago or Detroit. Huge Walter Payton fan and thoroughly enjoyed rooting for the second best defense in NFL history - the '85 Bears. You KNOW who was first and it sure as hell wasn't any team from western PA.

You guys are gonna kill me for this, but I still root for the Skins. I grew up in Maryland right after the Colts left, and the closest team to home was the Redskins. My first football memory was rooting for the Skins and Mark Rypien in the SBXXVI. I still have a soft spot for them for sure even though the franchise has been mismanaged to the point of hilarity.

I like the Dolphins for the rich history and Chad Henne is one tough dude.

I mean, I like the Panthers even more now with Cam and Steve Smith being this domination on offense, but I shouldn't be embarrassed by that. Not many teams really come to mind. Do the Vikings count? I also like the Giants defense when they're all healthy plus they have Hakeem Nicks......but they have Eli Manning.

I blame my lack of other team love on me spending too much time hating on the teams that I don't like. This season, it's not as big of a deal to me when the teams I hate reach success. I want to enjoy the game more and care about my teams winning more than other teams losing. What I did was ok in my mind because I'm not out to go cheer for the best team but rather cheer for failure. Don't get me wrong, it will always be priceless to me seeing Brady complain.

The Bills and Raiders. I love Darren McFadden and Fred Jackson and guys like Michael Bush and Stevie Johnson are fun to watch as well.

My brother has been a huge Packers fan for as long as I can remember. He roots for the Ravens for me so I root for the Packers for him. Would be an interesting Superbowl match-up...

My best friend is a pure Philly fan so I've seen a ton of Eagles game the last few years and probably know the most about them as a team other than the Ravens.
