Houston On The Verge Of Losing!

15 posts in this topic

I'm not that surprised by this. Houston isn't as good as people think, and Oakland is better than people think. When you factor in Johnson being out of the game, Oakland really should have been heavily favored. Houston has the coaches to turn it around and be a real contender in a season or two, but that defense is still too weak to contend. Wade Phillips needs some time to build up the right personnel to effectively run his scheme, and I don't blame him for that.

Really though, there was no way Oakland was going to lose this game with the way emotions are flying around on that team right now. I don't think any owner meant as much to his team as Al Davis.

It was a photo finish! Schab threw an INT to the endzone on the 5 yard yard with 0:00 to go! I cried along with coach! Good game!

Yeah, that was a punk move! He definitely could've ran that in. He had enough space, even right up the middle.

I know. The lane was right there. I can't imagine what he was thinking.

I kind of feel bad for the Texans, they lost andre johnson for a good bit, and lost mario williams for the year, they lost probably their 2 top players on the team.. definitely their best on respective side of the ball.

Actually liked them as a playoff contender... hell they still have a good shot w/ a manningless colts team, and a titans team that is now lacking playmakers... @ least until johnson arrives like him old self, and then the jags.... but we won't talk about them

Houston/Detroit are my second favorite teams behind the Ravens. I always have love for the underdogs until they win it all. And I said this in other threads about the Texans injuries. They suck. It sucks not only because they are great football players but they are also great guys.

To make matters worse, the Raiders only had 10 men on the field when they stopped Houston on the last play of the game. I guess Al Davis' spirit was their 11th man.
