I was listening to Mike and Mike last night (great show by the way) and the topic of whether or not TO will play this year came up. Apparently he is working hard and getting into some good shape, but that's always moot because game shape is different. Regardless, Mike and Mike brought up what teams he should sign with if he were to make a comeback.

To my surprise, Mike Greenberg brought up the Ravens right away, stating that stat-wise, TO had a better year than Boldin, which is true, and that he would be critical to establishing our deep threat. I literally shook my head, and so did Herm Edwards and Golic who said they are working with Lee Evans and Torrey Smith to do that same thing. Bringing him in would disrupt the chemistry Flacco is trying to build, and not only that, there would be almost TOO many weapons. Golic said of course we have to get the ball in Rice's hands and TO's presence would limit that, obviously. I just can't see this happening.

However, I do think a team like Tennessee could use him, as Hasselbeck is showing that he still has ability. The loss of Kenny Britt hurts and I don't think they can consistently rely on Nate Washington as a #1 receiver. Plus, TO's presence would alleviate pressure for CJ2K and allow more running lanes to open.

I also think the Bears could use him. They have always lacked a primary receiver and Roy Williams is certainly not the answer, and neither are Knox or Hester.

Maybe a return to the Bills is in order. Other than Steve Johnson, I don't think you can fully trust David Nelson or Donald Jones. But I'm skeptical that Chan Gailey wants to bring him in and disturb the culture that is there.

What do you guys think

I heard that bit as well, and I immediately thought NOOOOOOOOO. We do not need TO. Even if he still has something left, I am happy with where our team is at right now. My only caveat would be if for some reason Lee Evans cant get healthy, we may want to consider bringing in a vet WR. I still dont see TO as the answer though.

We don't need drama queen to come here, and our Ravens fans have been discussing throughout the offseason. Lee Evans and Torrey Smith will be a reckon deep threats for opposing teams........

Only way I would is if Evans doesn't stay consistently healthy. At that point it would be something to consider. But with a healthy Lee along with Torrey and Boldin, there would be no point to disrupt team chemistry because then there would be have to be too many balls to spread around and it would also prevent our young talent from getting time.

Do not need that....Team chemistry is really great right now..No need for cancers in the clubhouse so to speak.

I personally think the man will never play in the NFL again, and he certainly will never be a Raven.

Mike Greenberg with that statement shows he only watches highlights, but apparently didn't watch highlights of the Rams game where Torrey Smith proved he could be our deep threat and even showed that against the Jets as he beat Revis several times.

Honestly, i don't see what the big deal is. He's not that big of a drama queen anymore. He'd make a great #3 WR, and in all honestly, i don't think it'd hurt our team chemistry, our defense has been togother for years, and it's not going to break our offense. I'd be totally happy if we signed him. Proven WR > Our rookie WRs

That is a wild thought, but I could actually see that happening.

Maybe they can pull him out of the padded room, speculation of an attempted overdose.... again...

Can't say the Steelers haven't had locker room issues, but I don't ever remember them signing someone who is known to be a distraction.

True, but I could actually see Owens contributing to the Steelers offense. Wallace has been fantastic, and Brown has been good, but as unlikely as it seems, I could see Owens in a Steelers uniform. There was some clamoring for Plax in the offseason, before he signed with the Jets, which makes an Owens signing with the Steelers somewhat feasible.

Yes, but Plexiglass already has a great relationship with Ben. Not to mention the Steelers are extremely deep at WR. Ward, Wallace, Brown, and Sanders. Not to mention the Cotchery pickup. Maybe it's just my dislike for Owens but I just don't see it.

Steelers don't need TO, I couldn't imagine them signing him. They've got a ton of depth at WR, like Thunder said.

Owens was a great talent but now, with his unchanged cancerous demeanor and deteriorating body, he doesn't have any value.
