Matt Forte

I'm hoping to get more fantasy advice from you knowledgeable fans. I currently have Forte, McFadden and Foster as my RBs, but have almost nothing at WR (Mike Williams TB, Santana Moss) and a weak QB (Freeman). TE is the Gronk and I have Bears/Titans defenses. I'm looking to move Forte and have two possible offers. Give me your input:

Offer #1: (iffy on this)

TRADE:
Matt Forte
Kevin Kolb

RECEIVE:
Matt Hasselbeck
Greg Jennings

Offer #2: (leaning towards this)

TRADE:
Matt Forte
Santana Moss
Mark Ingram

RECEIVE:
Rashard Mendenhall
Vincent Jackson
Ryan Grant

I like the first trade better, Mendy is injured and has a horrible o line so receiving would really be the most production he get with that line. Goalin back is usually redman but even at that the steelers are so fast at WR other than ward that if they have space they are going to score anyway. , Starks is going to start taking Grant's Carries, and Vincent Jackson would be your only true viable option for consistent production, but the chargers are consistently inconsistent.

And I like Kolbs matchups, He plays the AFCN which is bad but the browns and bungles cant put enough pressure on Kold to keep him from going off, He also plays the NFCE which only philly's secondary would scare me but even they have been playing terrible, and then they have the rams, and SF twice. I would look for different trades to be honest. but then again I am not sure how let down you are by your receiver's

The thing about the second trade is we know the Steelers will come back eventually and a big reason will be because of their run game. Mendy also does get the bulk of goal line carries but Redman does have some spells here and there, but not enough to worry me. I also like Ryan Grant to take the job away from Starks as the season progresses, but that is purely speculative.

I'm just not sold on the first trade because I'm not sold on Hass yet. He has had 4 good weeks, but against what defenses? Ari? us (when we underperformed)? Denver? Cle? Not the best at all. Greg Jennings though is consistent as they come. Still I feel there is more benefit in the second trade

I understand but one thing that a lot of people are going to overlook is when Anthony armstrong comes back he is going to be a lot more dangerous than Jabar Gaffney therefore taking all of the heat off of Santana moss and I think he might light up here in the next couple weeks.

And you really think that Starks will lose out, I think the Pack is growing tired of him always being injured and james Starks is starting to turn it on, so I am not sold on Grant anymore.

Although I can't relate much because I am loaded on WR, Megatron, Fitz, Andre, Jennings, and Wallace

Hahaha yeah that's ridiculous, must mean you have Tarvaris Jackson at QB

I'd still hold on to Forte. The guy has over 600 scrimmage yards in just 4 games. He's producing like a #1 WR, so dealing him in order to erase your deficiencies at the WR spot likely won't bring you a significantly higher output. Mendenhall has struggled overall, and will likely continue to do so with the makeshift OL he's running behind. Unfortunately for Rashard, it's not a question of his talent, but the talent level around him. Mark Ingram has out-rushed Mendenhall up to this point, and Mendenhall is now dealing with injuries. I'm a fan of Grant, but the presence of Starks will likely make him a mere flex starter, as you can never count on who has more touches. I do like Vincent Jackson, however. He's an obvious upgrade over Santana Moss. But Jackson's averaging just over 3 points more per game than Moss. Forte, on the other hand, is within the Top 15 in points among all players. Although the second trade does look good on paper, I think you'd actually be missing out if you pull the trigger.
