Ravens Should Be 14-2 No Worse Than 13-3 Looking At Our Remaining Gms

54 posts in this topic

You probably said we'd go 16-0 before we lost to the Titans, too. Don't count anybody out. Except for the Colts maybe. But other than that those are some really tough opponents. One game at a time.

If our offense can play consistently well from here on out, I bet we go 13-3.

If they keep up the jekyll and hyde routine, 11-5 at worst.

Heard on ESPN Radio this morning that the Bengals have the #1 defense so far this year. I wouldn't write them off, especially since we struggle against good defenses (but then again, who doesn't?).

Well, the thing with the Bengals is Andy Dalton. How long has it been since a rookie QB did anything against us? Even if our offense stalls - and it might, we're all well aware of the troubles Cinnci poses for Joe and company - we're gonna smother the run game because that's just how we roll, and Andy Dalton can't beat us. I'm not worried about the Bengals this year.

The Titans are a legit team. It was just unfortunate that we were the first team to see what they were capable of this season.

The game I'm most concerned is Pitt. I'm confident we will win but I'm more than concerned that they will play with the intent to injure our players...

Echoing others in here, I will never, EVER, be able to simply mark down @ Pitt a win. All things being equal we're clearly better off this year, but...I don't think I need to put too fine a point on this, there are painful memories for everyone.

San Diego only scares me because of the travel. I feel like coast-to-coast lag always has an effect in the NFL. The team itself will always be soft.

I cringe at threads like these. I mean, I know its a " for fun " type of thread but people using the " easy win " term just irks me. We are more than capable of our record looking like a lot of you are saying it will look but don't take it to the bank yet, please. On the other hand, we are the fans and not the player so we can be super overconfident all we want, lol.

I'm with you. The season is long. Many things can happen. Teams change so quickly. There is no such thing as an easy win.

This is about as far as I will go: We have an opportunity with our schedule to have a great season.

16-0...it can be done!
Can't be done. With Flacco as our QB we are looking at best a 2-14 team.

Thanks Captain Obvious.

Doesn't mean you can't make predictions...which is exactly what this thread is about...

San Diego is overrated as usual, i dont get some people saying they're scared of them because of the travel.? what sense does that make. I really think Pittsburgh is not gonna be much of a problem unless they find an entire new O-line. They are lucky to be 2-2 bcuz they barley beat the Payton Manningless Colts. Their other win came against Seattle, who couldnt beat them? lol Houston has Mario Williams on D but thats about it. Flacco should have a good gm against them 300yds 2tds or something like that, and it looks like Andre Johnson is out for 3 weeks so woooo hooooo! We got this people im telling you! 14-2 no worse 13-3

I only see Pittsburgh, and SD being our only problems. I honestly think we can beat both of them, but for benefit of the doubt i'll mark it as a 1-1, and I think we'll have another stinker game. So we'll end up 13-3, but i honestly think if everything pans out right, 15-1.

Who have the Bengals played exactly? Oh yeah.. Browns, Broncos, SF, Bills. Besides the Bills, all 3 of those are average offenses.

San Diego is pretty scary because they typically turn on their offense down the stretch. V Jax is a killer receiver but I think Gates' foot problem may sit him the rest of this season. Their defense is underrated, there are a lot of playmakers there. Gilchrist, new draft pick at CB, is a player, and allows them to move Jammer to CB. Obviously this works against our favor because we no longer will get multiple pass-interference calls haha. Plus Shaun Phillips is a beast.

Texans may also present a problem, but yes with AJ out it is certainly easier. Shutting down Foster is the key there, and a quick tempo offense to slow down Wade Philips' pass rush.

Niners game will be a good one, but I can't see us losing.

We just have to take the Bengals and Browns seriously

Houston: pros- Extra week to prepare, in Baltimore, unhealthy/no Andre Johnson. We get Smith Evans Grubbs and Carr back.
cons- Texans have one of the best offenses(But we got one of the best defenses) - It Should be a great game. I think Ravens win in a close defensive batter. The key I think is to contain Foster. Our winning factor : Ray Rice.

Jaguars: pros- Everything. On Monday night football our Defense is gonna show off again. And I think it will be like the Rams game was. Joe should have a big game. I cant think of any cons except maybe MJD. But we'll stack the box on them, get an early lead, Run it down their throats, and Reed will have 2 picks.

Cardinals: pros- In Baltimore. Vs Cardinals. cons: Fitzgerald should be thrown to alot. And IMO him ans Calvin are the best WRs in NFL. I think our offense will begin to put up bigger numbers and our defense should continue to dominate. I think after this game were gonna be considered the most dangerous team in football.

We should go 3-0 in the next 3 games. All winnable games for us. I have Faith Joe will keep improving, that Rice will be top 3 RB this year, and that our defense is elite. As long as the Ravens prepare well no one could stop us

Week 6 vs Texans = Win
Week 7 at Jags = Win
Week 8 vs Cardinals = Win
Week 9 at Steelers = Win
Week 10 at Seahawks = Win
Week 11 vs Cincy = Win
Week 12 vs 49ers = Win
Week 13 at Browns = Win
Week 14 vs Colts = Win
Week 15 at Chargers = Win
Week 16 vs Browns = Win
Week 17 at Cincy= loss?

Seriously the only team that scares me is Cincy. Yes i said the Bengals, not because of their O but because of their D which Flacco has really struggled against in his career. San Diego is good on O but we'll put 30 plus up on their soft D. The same goes for Houston, even if Andre Johnson is back we'll still beat them. The Colts are Payton Manningless, nuff said. The Steelers are over the hill. And quite frankly the only other possible decent opponent is SF on thanksgiving but i believe our D has a field day against Alex Smith. Maybe we lose at Cincy and a fluke game somewhere inbetween, but i really believe we're going 14-2 or 13-3 hopefully with homefield adv!!!!! SuperBowl Ravens vs GB!
They let go of one of their best players on defense, in Jonathan Joseph. And I have to believe the coaching will NOT be throwing much in that game. It will be a running game to just drain the clock and get the game over with. If the Ravens record is what you predict it will be, then the Ravens will most likely be having a bye week after that game. And because of that bye week, I believe the Ravens will definitely play their starters in Week 17, especially if there is any chance the Ravens could end up losing the number 1 seed in the AFC if they don't win that week.

We all know the game is played on the field, but I sure like how the schedule is looking! Hopefully the team takes full advantage and gets Ed Reed a ring!

This thread is tempting the football gods to put the whammy on us! I'm reading no more!

BUT, I like 15 - 1. If we can stay healthy, play consistently and continue to gel(improve) on O, our only competition is the Pack. Dare I say we'll meet them in the SB? This looks like the most balanced squad in the history of the Team.

While that may be correct when it's said and done...you can't really do it that way. You never know what is going to happen week to week with injuries, gameplans, teams getting hot, teams getting cold, etc...

Lets try to just take it week to week.
