Ravens Should Be 14-2 No Worse Than 13-3 Looking At Our Remaining Gms

54 posts in this topic

Week 6 vs Texans = Win
Week 7 at Jags = Win
Week 8 vs Cardinals = Win
Week 9 at Steelers = Win
Week 10 at Seahawks = Win
Week 11 vs Cincy = Win
Week 12 vs 49ers = Win
Week 13 at Browns = Win
Week 14 vs Colts = Win
Week 15 at Chargers = Win
Week 16 vs Browns = Win
Week 17 at Cincy= loss?

Seriously the only team that scares me is Cincy. Yes i said the Bengals, not because of their O but because of their D which Flacco has really struggled against in his career. San Diego is good on O but we'll put 30 plus up on their soft D. The same goes for Houston, even if Andre Johnson is back we'll still beat them. The Colts are Payton Manningless, nuff said. The Steelers are over the hill. And quite frankly the only other possible decent opponent is SF on thanksgiving but i believe our D has a field day against Alex Smith. Maybe we lose at Cincy and a fluke game somewhere inbetween, but i really believe we're going 14-2 or 13-3 hopefully with homefield adv!!!!! SuperBowl Ravens vs GB!

I like our remaining games but what did we look at the titans game before we played them? A win to, What happened? Texans are a good 3-1 team. Better then last year. They should be 4-0 had they not fell apart against the saints. It will be a tough tought game. Don't ever ever count the chargers out with a player like phillip river. Exteremely talented team. 49ers also a suprising 3-1 could be tough, Talented team to.. Don't ever count the steelers out in pittsburgh because that would be a huge misstake. I think we can go 13-3 12-4. it looks good but in the NFL you can lose any given week. Specially with injuries.

@ Steelers and @ Chargers are obviously the main danger games. However, no one thought we'd be losing to the Titans either.

I'm thinking 13-3.

I don't think at the Chargers is anywhere near a given, but the rest I agree with. The Texans without Andre don't scare me as much.

I think we lose to the steelers and Chargers, putting us at 13-3. That probably won't be the case, but as long as we finish atop the AFC North that's good enough for me.

There's no such thing as an easy win, but we are more than capable of beating every team on our schedule. I'm thinkin 12-4 or 13-3, but 14-2 or 15-1 are not impossible, dare I say it. Unfortunately, I think we may have another "fluke" game this year. Regardless of what our record will be, we should win a lot more than we lose. We're on track for 12-4. I'm down with that.

The Titans wasn't that much of a fluke. They had an O-line that could hold our rush and put pressure on a depleted secondary. And they had corners that could stop our depleted WR corp. Not to mention we struggled to run or protect with LeVoir.

The only teams that should worry us are ones with a good O-line in the near future, before our secondary can get healthy again. Houston maybe, but I'm not sure who else.

Steelers in Pittsburgh will be a ruthless game. Theyre going to remember the beat down we laid on them, and the unnecessary 2 point conversion. That game is going to be savage. The Niners dont scare me at all, seriously if we lose to Alex Smith throwing to Vernon Davis only, and to Frank Gore I'll be heated. If we lose to the Bengals with a rookie QB I'll also be heated. The Bengals dont have Joseph anymore so Flacco should be a little better, plus we have vertical threats now so that will help against the Cov 2. The Chargers will also be a tough game, in SD they have a high flying offense that will be tough to contain. As well as the Texans, their defense is much improved and Shaub slings it when he has time, if they dont have Andre Johnson I'll breathe easier.

It is possible, on paper right now we are better than every remaining team we face. The Texans will be tough as will the Chargers. The Steelers really have not impressed me this year. We will dominate their O-line and if ours holds up Joe will pick apart their secondary, and will Ben even be able to walk by the time we face them? Bengals have lost their 2 Raven killers in Palmer and Joseph, they have a rookie QB who I seriously think our D will eat alive, still a good defense though. But maybe we lose that game if we already have that 1st round bye clinched and pull the starters.

I'm surprised to see people writing off Houston but afraid of SD. I have it the other way around.

The Houston game is at home, following a bye week none the less. They also don't have Andre Johnson.

The Chargers always give us a run for our money, and they're always contending. We have to travel accross the country and try and beat them. It won't be a write off.

My beginning of the season prediction was 14-2. I don't see us doing any worse then 13-3, and I think 15-1 is totally plausible at this point.

there is no such thing as an automatic win (before getting on the field) in the NFL! we "should've" beat the Titans according to many here and that didn't work out well did it now? the Titans however? those cats are on a 3 game win streak that got jumped off by beating the Ravens. go figure!

Thanks Captain Obvious.

Doesn't mean you can't make predictions...which is exactly what this thread is about...

The Chargers scare me the most... we play them in December. That is when the get their momentum rolling. I'm also not discounting Pittsburgh because of it being in Pittsburgh so looking at that... I see 13-3 with our remaining losses coming from Pittsburgh & San Diego. I would say 12-4 but Andre Johnson won't be playing when we play the Texans so we caught a break big time right there.

Am I the only one who is somewhat concerned about the 49ers?

I cringe at threads like these. I mean, I know its a " for fun " type of thread but people using the " easy win " term just irks me. We are more than capable of our record looking like a lot of you are saying it will look but don't take it to the bank yet, please. On the other hand, we are the fans and not the player so we can be super overconfident all we want, lol.

Week 6 vs Texans = Texans are a tough pass offense. Depends on which offense shows up. Toss Up.
Week 7 at Jags = Win
Week 8 vs Cardinals = Win
Week 9 at Steelers = Steelers want revenge, at Pittsburgh, on Sunday night. Depends on which offense shows up again. Toss Up.
Week 10 at Seahawks = Win
Week 11 vs Cincy = Win
Week 12 vs 49ers = Win
Week 13 at Browns = Win
Week 14 vs Colts = Win
Week 15 at Chargers = Once again, depends on how well we can do on road night games, and we will see (@Jags, @Steelers). I'll call Toss Up.
Week 16 vs Browns = Win
Week 17 at Cincy= Agree, can be Toss Up. Ravens have struggled against the Bengals, I mean Carson Palmer, usually once a year. But rookie quarterback dont usually play too well against you know who...

So if we lose all our 'Toss-ups', and those are the worst case, we will be 11-5. At worst, I see 12-4.

the main reason the chargers dont scare me as much as we now have at least 2, and possibly 3 corners who will all get playing time at 6 feet or bigger. The charges are known for having huge wide receivers and we finally have the secondary to match up. Put that together with our pass rush assuming it stays at the level its at and the chargers suddenly dont seem as scary

I've lived in San Diego for 6 years, and have gotten to watch this Charger team up close. First off, why have we played San Diego at San Diego 3 times in the past 5 years or so? lol But on a more serious note, the Chargers are not as good as the media wants them to be. They have a quarter back that throws alley oops when he's pressured, and thats a credit to thier aweful O-line. They faced a serious pass rusher in Hali (Kansas City) and performed the Bronco Buster on Philip River's chin all game. I think B'more will handle them. The Chargers dont deal with physicality well.

This is why West Coast teams (locally, not schematically) don't scare me too much.

If we beat the steelers twice then I expect us to sweep our division. Cincy have a rookie QB and WR they won't kno what hit them with the way our defense is playin. I don't expect no rookie to beat our defense period. Yes Cincy have a good defense now, but our offense against there defense or there defense against our offense.. Not happening.. We have receivers that can stretch the field now a big difference from last year. The same goes for the Browns.

I have us at 12-4 losing to the Steelers and Chargers at home and then the normal dud game against some surprise. Hopefully 12-4 is enough for a division title and home game instead of wild card.

I'll just be happy with 11-5 or better. 11-5 is usually good enough to make the postseason.

I know people are in the mode of "Super Bowl or Bust" and won't be happy with merely making the playoffs, but seeing as how only 12 teams (37.5%) in the league advance to the postseason each year, I'd much rather be part of the Final 12 with a first-round exit than have no rooting interest in the postseason at all.

That said, I like the optimism. I can also appreciate how this thread is just for fun, but even though I expect the team to win every week, it's hard for me to be as bold as the OP with these predictions.

agreed im thinking 11-5 more than likey too... I think that'll win the division and get us the 3 seed... Which im fine with right now... Now if we gain consistency on offense over our next few games then ill bump it to 12-4 and a 2 seed
i still think n.e. Will get the 1 seed cause they're NE
